Heh, that's cool. Music moves us differently. Nothing like tribal drums to get my blood boiling . . . Thanks for the comments, all.

Callahan, nice try. I actually though you were gonna make it, despite the title =) Tornillo, nice ride for sure
I learnt that the flow of the creek can and does seriously affect the back end as it bounces over the river rocks. That is what affected me to go far right and inevitably up stream to the far right (don't do it) track. The current pushed the back end down stream, thus pointed the bike up stream. So after getting it de-watered and dried out, which was relatively easy BUT a lot of kick starting on an XR600r and a break for lunch. I then crossed back and forth 4 more times with bettering success. No water flooding of the engine. Two days later when returning fully geared up I crossed with thought of current and caution of speed and rocks. Held my feet (boots) up which I know is not necessarily ideal as the bike would jump, dance, pitch and yawl. Standing would be more secure and a nimbler approach. Anyway I got across dry. Now looking for more creek crossings.

Hey ADV. This is some vid of a run across the northern side of the Barrington Tops in NSW Australia. Moon Flat up and across to Tomalla Road. Middle of the day a few weeks ago at 9C. A few inches rain the night before which made the decent down to Curricabark interesting. Awesome GS terrain.
