Some of you guys know I had my engine out to replace a valve. Well I have it all back together and it won't start!

It's in neutral but not getting a neutral light on the cluster and the starter is not engaging. The solenoid is clicking when the start button is pressed. The neutral switch appears be functional based on my multimeter measurements. I have checked the wire as far as the main connector and all is good.

    Battery: good
    Fuses: good

    Any ideas?

    Bad chassis ground!

Gauge cluster and cockpit were grounded through the harness but everything that was looking to be grounded through the engine and frame were seeing nothing. That is why instrumentation, lights, horn, clutch safety worked but neutral safety, kickstand and starter were inop!
