I think it was just a link to my profile on geocaching.com... I think the system adds it..

I looked at your profile and saw the 1100.. That is impressive..

We are flying to Maine tonight for a week. I am hoping to do some caching while there. We have a GeoCoin that we picked up in Idyllwild, CA that I want to drop off.

I see the bug has bitten you more than just a little... how do you maintain your caches from Leavenworth to Ft Scott? You travel regularly?

Geocaching. I have only located a few caches so far. It is a fun family activity and also adds a new demension to riding. Geocaching helps me to remember to "stop and smell the roses" along the way. I use mapsource and 60CSx for plotting the route and marking geocache locations. I have encountered some incredable views along the way that I would have otherwise missed.

Some caches are very easy to find, this one was stuck to the back of the guardrail.

Congratulations! Those take time and determination to finish. They are also a lot of fun.

I have done both the Missouri and Kansas. I have also done the Kansas 105 (finding a cache in every county of KS) and very close to finishing the MO county challenge.

This last year I have been caching while riding an adventure bike. Because of that my finds have dropped but I have been enjoying the experiance a lot more.

You can check out some of my caching rides here: http://picasaweb.google.com/ajayhawkfan.

Believe it or not, but I just found out about geocaching this week. Yesterday a friend and I found 3 caches in 30 deg sunny weather. Had a good time. I ordered a hand help for further fun.

My buddy and I have been geocaching for several years now. Our job requires that we travel several months out of the year so we get to hunt all over the country.

2 years ago we decided to design our own coins. Our first one was the Skullduggery coin:

Last year we came out with the Roulette coin:

This one was cool because it came to a point on the back so you could spin it just like a real roulette table.

Our latest coin is the Sprocket coin. We did it in three colors, orange, blue, and green:

I have several of the Sprocket and a few of the Roulette coins for sale. If anybody is interested, please check out my thread in the Vendors section.

Took the girlfriend on a geocaching adventure today. Learning to use my 60csx, but seems so easy after originally trying with an etrex. Found 3, DNF 1, and could not cross a flooded creek to get another. Thinking we should start doing just motorcycle themed caches. Getting my girlfriend to design something for a new cache. Might pick up one of those sprocket coins in blue for us yammie riders.
