    Like a proper ADVer.

First action when someone falls: Take pictures
Second: Ask if help is needed

We took a little post-holiday ski holiday and found fantastic weather at Mt. Bachelor. No fresh snow but acres of groomers / high speed.

    Like, Sunday the 16th?
Um.....Yeah!! That day'll do. Wifey works the night before and will want to sleep in.
That makes Sunday a good day for Skiing.

    Sounds like trouble......:freaky

    Sweet Sunny day.

Last time I was at Bachelor w/ friends, it was so foggy that we got lost from the very top lift. Had to hike for two hours just to get back to the lifts. Two of our group were lazy/n00bish, so when we finally got back, they were done for the day!! A one run day! Went back to the condo & drank all night.

Me and my other skiier bud went back the next day and made up for it, though. The two n00bs just went home, and haven't gone skiing since.

Nice light freshies at T-line all day yesterday. I brought two cameras and only took one picture. :shog

Bachelor is frozen solid and after the holiday pow', not very inspiring so we grabbed some whiskey and shuffled up in the woods for scary/icy nordic action.

Oh yeah - Vintage 215cm Karhus with no edges are the perfect choice for an icy descent!

Snowed a little bit on the way down but not enough to make a difference.

Haven't gone nordic this year - good workout and the Maker's Mark was just the ticket!

Mt Hood Meadows tomorrow through thursday 1/13 for a competition with my kid. I'll be standing around the event (1/2 pipe and slopestyle) if anyone is up there.

Awesome weekend on Mt Hood this past weekend! Lot's-o-powder, and less crowded that over the Holidays...

Brought up Easy-Z, Draggs, and Luke and we all stayed at my co-op cabin in Government Camp. I wish I had more pics, but this is a few I managed to get on my low-res phone camera:eek1...Wox always has his good camera with him:lol3

Heading up to T-Line on Saturday am...

Nice snow at 6K feet! Low crowds after everyone went in the lodge for lunch:evil

Saved the best for last! After Easy and Luke went back to PDX Saturday afternoon, I had the best idea! Sunday I dragged Draggs (:lol3) back up to T-line early (he was wiped after Sat, his first ski in over 4 years), and we poached a free run down the Glade Trail back to Goverment Camp! We managed to get a ride from one of my cabin mates to the Lodge. What is very unique about Mt Hood are two trails out of bounds at Tline that take you to Govy. The run from 6K feet at the Jeff's flood Chair and all the way on the Glade Trail to Govy is 4+ miles and over 2K feet of vertical drop on this one run!! And, the trail ends right at the street our cabin is located, and when the street has freshies..you can ski right up to our front door. We had first tracks, 6"+ powder and one kick ass trip down the Glade!:clap:freaky:clap

One shot of Draggs on the Glade:clap Fresh Tracks for 4 miles!!:freaky:clap

This Jan/Feb is going to be epic at Mt Hood!:deal

I'm planning to ski this Sunday morning/day. Who's in?
I'll ski any slope, where ADVers will join me.

This coming Monday at Meadows is Hood River Rotary night.
    $10 lift tickets from 2pm - 9pm.
Night-time only for Rotary Fundraiser. Season Pass no good this night only.

    Anyone interested? I'm going anyway.
Must get tickets from Rotary member. I'm not part of Rotary, but
I can get tickets for anyone truly interested.

Negative on that ghost rider-I think I will be skiing on Sat and working about the cabin on Sunday. Although, give me an idea on when you would be there and I could be talked into a few runs Sunday afternoon...Maybe, if I'm not too tired from the day before.

    Anyone interested in skiing sat?

You wanna do Monday Night 2pm - 9pm for only $10?
I'll getcha a tickee from a HR local.....

    :clap
I'll be there Sunday morning early @ 8:30-ish in the Main Lot. My van will be as Red as your Van, but an '07 Chevy, with Apple Jam logos. It'll be VERY easy to spot in the sea of boring grey, white, black and blue cars that people buy these days.
    Smell# five4one-eight0six-thirteen-ninety-two.

Well, there ya go. See you Sunday maybe?
Wifey works all night Sat/Sun, then gets home Sunday morning about 7am. She likes it when I go do something Sunday morning so she can sleep in peace.

I get to install stair guardrails and handrails for my barn staircase on Saturday.
    Almost done.

On second thought, looks kinda soggy up there this weekend. I'll save my money for better snow.

Shit. I haven't looked at the weather report. I save that until the last moment.
It'll change by then, anyway. It's only Wednesday now.

    Still, Monday's only $10........

PS: We got 5" of beatiful dry powder 20 degree snow last night.....
Then it started freezing rain, and put a 1/4" slick crust on top of everything.
