I'm a member of the Georgia Sidecar Club. This past weekend we had our Christmas party at my home. While my wife and I were running errands getting ready for the party we saw a sidecar rig exiting the highway and into a gas station. Thinking it may be someone on the way to our house, we pulled in to the station. The person on the rig was a German fellow on the last leg of a round the world trip. He was going to Virginia to ship his bike home from Norfolk, VA. We invited him to our home and Christmas party and he accepted. He was a wonderful guest and an entertaing fellow. He showed many pictures from his trip and joined in all the silly games and festivities as though he had been a member for years.
Having a guest like Jon (his name) really brought a new life to the party. We all enjoyed his company and listened intently to the few stories he told. He was "living the dream".

Congratulations and a hearty Thank You for inviting him into your home. Talk about Christmas Spirit; you and your club just showed a ton of it. I'll bet that Jon feels more thankful to you and your friends than vice versa. What a great way to end the RTW trip. Merry Christmas sir!

He has no blog, no ride report. Just a dude travelling the world.

A Ural 750 with a homemade top for the sidecar so he could store more out of the weather. One wheel drive.
