Hello locals of Portugal. I am coming over for a visit to Portugal in a couple of weeks. I am looking at renting a motorcycle there and go see some nice stuff and drink good wine.. Any recommendations in terms of places to stay and see and where to rent motorcycles would be appreciated. Please PM me. Thanks to the contributors to this thread I'm hooked.

Hi, Last year I went to the Boom festival in portugal on bike from Belgium and afterwards I travelled to monsanto, Coimbra and Porto, where I had some starting problems. That took a few days so I had to go straight home from Porto. I enjoyed the trip very much. Next year I'll go back to Boom and hope to see more of the country.
Great bikes, and nice pics! I wish you lived a bit more to the south, as I would gladly participate in all those trips (and take the dslr ). Here not one single motorcyclist want to take any kind of trip that takes them further away than the nearest cafe or bar. One sugestion: some of your photos would look great with a fake hdr-ish effect, to bring up the darkest areas. There is a great thread about it here. Let me know if you ever come to the Santarém area
Well, you're not far from me. I live a couple of K's away from Obidos. Although sadly I'm working in the Far East at the moment but ill gladly meet for a ride when I get back.
