Check for the side covers on Ebay.

$100+ for tatpart is highway robbery.

I've got a blue R80G/S left sidecover and I need a white one (to keep wife from burning leg on pipe). Rather than paint it over (it's got pretty nice factorry paint), I thought I'd ask if anyone has the opposite and wants the blue in exchange for white?

It's longshot, but I hate to paint over the blue :deal

Well, I need the blue one, but I don't have the white one. Did you recently get this off Ebay? I was wondering who snagged the left blue one (I got the right side). Anyway, maybe we can work something out where I buy the blue one off you at a price that makes sense for both of us so you can either get a new one or wait until another white one shows up. Please send me a PM or email. Thanks!

Lots of the BMW prices are hard to swallow. Though it might be harder to swallow if they didn't offer them anymore. We probably need to appreciate the fact that for something like my 1973 /5 they still offer well over 90% of the parts. I don't know if there's any other company that comes close.
