This is the long abandoned La Quinta Trestle that the Pacific Electric/Southern Pacific branch line went across to get to Norton Air Force base. Hasn't been used since 1970.

Dosen't seem to stop the tourists from driving around the little roadblock

Iowa back roads bridge

Galena Street Bridge over Carroll Creek, in Mt Carroll, IL. The steel plates on the deck have been removed, maybe in last Year(?). Bridgehunters.com has details on this one.

One Lane concrete bridge, I believe on Davis Road, just S of Eliz/Mt. Carroll Rd. Built, 1927.

About a mile NW Milledegeville, Just S of Hwy 40(old 88). Bridgehunter.com calls this the Ideal Road Bridge.

Norway summer 2011

Manistee Michigan (Western Michigan) Watching the Salmon roll in this past October.

Gateway Bridge(US Hwy 30) and UP Rail Bridge over Mississippi. You can see a UP coal train on the rail bridge. This is a turntable bridge on the Iowa side(toward the right), up for replacement in next ten or so year. 41 degrees today, still no snow on ground, .3" for month.

Through truss bridge over Stranger Creek on Metro Ave, north of I 70 in Kansas. Min maintenance road.

Tag grabbing at hooper's island bridge just south of blackwater wildlife refuge, eastern shore of Maryland.

RR Bridge over Mississippi River. Record setting 56 degrees, Jan 5th. Another turn table bridge to let barge traffic thru. Work crews are on bridge with truck that uses rails.
