I think they did it with the first black ops.

I got MW2 just after black ops came out for that price so I'm guessing it'll drop again for MW3.

Assasin's Creed and Borderlands 2 are already going to sap my game fund dry so I gotta be frugal with the rest of the ones I want.

The fan in my X Box Slim's power block stopped working so it will run for 30 min then overheat....and this happened 2 weeks after the warranty expired.

Does anyone know a good place to buy the actual Microsoft unit so I could get it ASAP? The 37 dollars Microsoft wants for one isn't too bad but I don't feel like waiting forever. Gamestop doesn't stock em new...and they want 40 dollars for a used one :eek1

And it's here! Diablo III plays a bit smoother then the last public beta. I'm sure they went through several revisions in just that short amount of time. The servers are up and down though.

Just finished the DL, torn between the monk & demon hunter.
I guess Ill start up with a demon hunter since I like the ranged weapons.
Although the monk looks like a fun character to play in PvP matches.

I played the Demon Hunter in the beta. My only complaint was that their weapons were slow so if you get swarmed you could get into trouble. Which I was. The Witch Doctor seems to be pretty popular and has some pretty strong attacks. I've seen three dog like things following one person around and attacking zombies on their own.

Do you know how to add friends in battle.net so you can join them for games?

Ok, I figured it out. The Add player icon is on the bottom right when you're in game.

Seeing as you need to connect to the internet to even play SP, it has to be putting a load on their servers. Especially with everyone jumping on the servers at once. The chat also seems to be going through their servers as well. Unlike old Diablo you can't set up a LAN or even a personal WAN.

Server's not going to be up until 11:45pm PST it says. I was at least able to play long enough to get to Lvl 11 with my Monk. I might try build a new character just to get a feel of what the others are like. Maybe a Wizard next time.

It's a survival game. Although some people just like to build or make quests. In that sense it's very old school, like a MUD or MUCK where you can build the game from the inside.

Condolences. :lol3 Maybe you can talk to him if you play too! There's a small chat window where you can directly IM him. :lol3

Appreciated, Jeffy. DIII is his gig to which I hold no interest. This break'll do a body (or two) good, believe me.:evil

I got Max Payne 3 for my birthday, probably 2/3 or 3/4 of the way through it already (though I wish it would go on forever). The game is both gorgeous and disgusting. I'm really blown away, I'm already stoked to beat it and then play it again on a higher difficulty :lol3

Pretty busy gaming after a long while, since I got the new gpu I played/finished GTA4, sniper elite 2, battlefield3, starcraft 2, NFS shift, skyrim and I'm getting ready for Diablo3...

I hadn't played in ultra settings for many years, some of those new games are just amazing in ultra quality, especially Battlefield is worth replaying in casual mode just to look at the levels' design and detail... :eek1

By the way the radeon 6870 was recommended at tomshardware as best below $180 and it truly delivers powerful graphics easily at the highest settings... Currently running on a slow(ish) i3 with 8gb of ram but I have no problem running everything at max...
