In Texas several cars would have stopped to check on the fallen rider.

This video does show the benefits of the ATTGAT Power Ranger rider compared to the 'Look at me I'm a badass' Pirate rider.

Imagine the results had this rider had wearing a bandanna, sunglasses, tshirt, jeans and a scowl. He would have been smeared on the pavement like a bug on a windshield.

For freeway riding in urban areas, a motorcycle belongs in the left lane, going slightly faster than the flow of traffic. Reason being, approximately two-thirds of motorcycling accidents occur in a filed of vision of 11 to 1 o'clock.

Whether it is Most Dangerous in the world, I don't know. But it sure looks big-time scary. Seriously impressive cliffs!

What gets me is that someone actually had to BUILD that road!!!

could you imagine heading out on that thing on a daily basis (probably some years ago too...before nice modern machinery)...and blasting and hacking away at those cliff faces! :deal :eek1

I was thinking about that, too. I have a sense that the work there was not exactly voluntary...

In southern Alps, for example, a lot of the spectacular switchbacks were built by POWs or by conscripts.

Here is one of these: Route du Marguareis - known better on moto forums by its German name: Ligurische Grenzkammstraße, Ligurian Border Ridge Road. It's a former military road, built mostly between 1880 and 1940 along what was then French-Italian border in the Maritime Alps.
Route details are here. By the way, that's a great Web site for intriguing Alpine rides (in German, but one should be able to figure out what's going on even without knowing the language).

Anyway, here it the Ligurian ride. It's a serious 205 (I think it's even posted in this thread, but what the heck - it's so neat it bears repeating).
