This shouldn't even be an issue. Apparently, the egg was accidently found and moved to the sign before Augie got there and seeing as how it wasn't were it was supposed to be, he posted up the bruced photo. It was his idea to wait ten days to see if Eggy would be found. I am sure he would want to keep with the idea of the game and keep Eggy as the mascot. However, it really doesn't matter because Phideaux has the real mascot at the location it was left. So technically, it is up to him to move Eggy along to his next drop.

From where I sit, I agree. Had Augie actually placed a new tag/mascot, it would have been more of a problem, but seeing as how he's one of the more prolific taggers around this part of the country, I doubt that'll even be an issue. He covers a lot of miles and I'm sure he'll get it (again) before long.

Eggy has been dropped ever so gently somewhere high upon a hill.

So this ends my weekend tag journey covering 1650 miles and involving both this and the USA Tag. Visited with some great folks, got really, really, wet and hung out with the Moran Nation some at RDV.

Lets just use this as a reminder that you can't be too careful hiding the egg. You should really be SURE the egg is hidden very well. If you think it's questionable at all, find a more remote location.

Just as important is ensuring the instructions on how to find the thing are clear, detailed and accurate.

I would be pissed if I rode some distance and was then unable to find the egg. Only to have some guy roll in days later and end up with the TAG.

Is this about a piece of rock or about the ride?

Sorry, but just sayin.

There is one more point that I would like to add, and that is if you think you are being observed while hiding the egg (ranger, tourist, psychotic raccoon or any other type of egg snatcher) it might be best to find a new secluded location.

Well shucks hscrugby, I showed him around some Saturday afternoon at RDV and actually was kinda surprised at the number of people who knew nothing of Eggy.:huh

Heck....I even had him in my hand when I told that silly Rindercella story at the campfire on Sat night.

Blah, blah, blah.... Eggy has been moved already....... nothing to see here folks move along.

Haven't had a chance to move Eggy yet. Got a trip to the northeast planned in the next month. Lets see if this sits through Memorial Day weekend. I have a chance to go get it the weekend after.

You guys are loco. plannin vacation and holidays around these taggin games.
I'm. takin the wife to the beach on my bike instead.
Ain't got nuthin to do with placing the NC ABC tag in Onslow county on the way. Shhhhh. Don't tell her tho.

Nobody on this site plans vacations around riding/taggin.
As for the egg and tag stuff I am almost positive Auggie won't care that the tag was placed by someone else. He will just grab it and move it again
