Shug has some great videos. A true real-life clown and loves his hammocks.

The best sleep I've ever had camping has been in a hammock. I have a Warbonnet Blackbird double layer and love it. It's a great unit. I started out with a Hennessey but grew tired of the birth-canal opening.

Cape Disappointment State Park, WA - last summer on our Edmonton to California tour.

    Smurph, I'm diggin' that porch-mode tarp setup.:thumb

I got out last weekend (April 1) for a little day ride in the western NC mountains. I hung my Warbonnet Traveler for a little after-lunch relaxation.

Tomorrow I'll find a place to hang it up for a bit.

Just ordered an Exped Combi hammock and I have a question for you hammock veterans out there. Where do you store you gear when hammocking? I have a 2pc RoadCrafter that is not going to fit in the hammock and I really don't want to leave it sitting on the ground all night. Same goes for boots.
How about changing clothes. Even with a larger tarp it seems you are kind of exposed.

    Thank

I stuff things into a large dry bag and put it under the rain fly, or I keep things in the bike luggage.

    little weekender to the everglades....

I Have 2 HH's...actually three with the free cub i recieved.
an Explorer deluxe with hex tarp and a Expedition zip
I sent the Explorer out to have the full zipper mod done and it is a fantastic hammock now. this week i treated it with

permethrin spray to keep the mosquitoes at bay...little bastards git ya right through the hammock.
I am really looking forward to a few month of camping in them this summer.

I hope they send you the grownup sized Exped combi hammock.... I'm only 5'-8" and the one i recieved was too short for me to stretch out in.

The Clark Jungle Hammock uses nylon that is impervious to Mosquitos.

Thats why you buy at REI. If it's to short just return it.

Look up Gear Hammock at HF. It's just a small hammock that you can hang under your sleeping hammock.

yeah...but i already have the Hennessy's and i find them really comfortable and super fast to set up.
Hennessy actually has a double layer jungle hammock that is mozzy proof too...but i think the peremathin is working. i usually use an under quilt anyways. or sleep in a layer of clothes. they only got me because i was in shorts and tee shirt.

This is a pretty crappy cell-phone pic from Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground in Cruso, NC.

I'm out and about this week, and I have a real camera with me, so I may do a ride report.

Just found a couple of trees and hung my new hammock up for the first time.

I think I'll be able to sleep in there. :D

I placed a gear order at Jacks r Better yesterday and on a whim I ordered one of their bridge hammocks. I don't know why because I'm perfectly happy with my WBBB's but curiosity got the better of me. :1drink
