I feel a little stupid here as my problem seemed to stem from the fact I was trying to remove the bolt from the side I showed in this picture.

At some point today I wondered if there might be anything under that plastic strip attached to the frame and lo and behold there was the head of the allen bolt. Previously I thought I was dealing with a rounded off hex head :baldy:rofl. Needless to say I was able to remove the center silencer pretty easily then lol.

Oh shoot. I have never seen that problem in person, lol. Not even on our 92. knock on wood. least I can bet $, that those parts are still easy to get.

In 33 years of riding it's a first for me. Since I found that I've heard of two other Gas Gas owners here that found the same problem this weekend. My 1992GT25, a 1993 GT32, and a 2001 270. Weird.

Installed the new clutch from Mike at the Tryals Shop and it works perfectly now. It's nice to be able to click it in gear and not be ready to jump on in a hurry because the bike is scooting out from under you haha.
