And again ..... asking for assistance, help and so on:

a German couple, Heidi and Bernd Kleine, are on the final stretch of their RTW on two KTMs.

They will arrive early January 2013 in the "general" Los Angeles area and will cross the US direction Miami, leaving from there on 22 February, returning to good old Germany. This will complete their 2-year-trip.

If anyone has a place to sleep, to set up a tent or is willing to provide any assistance this will (as alwyas) be highly appreciated.

The two are veeeeery friendly and kind, veeeery easy-going and always willing to help.

Here is the link to their homepage: http://welt-tour.com/

You can either contact them directly or thru me (klausdorth{at}web.de).

Edit: see the time very weather dependent travel in this area for that winter time, fricken cold usually.

Well Grand Canyon can be cold, 0 f, at times. Organ Pipe National Monument can be beautiful, camping in the more isolated campground North of the visitor center. Also visit Kitt Peak Observatory between there and Tucson. The Chiricahua National Monument is also cool, road East from there over the mountains may or may not be open. East of here (Las Cruces) is Big Bend National Park.

I'm located in Irving Texas, basically Dallas Texas but right next to the DFW international airport. Don't have a bed or tent space to offer, but I do own a full Harley shop with tools and lift...

Again, if you are around Ft. Worth, Texas, we are located about 40 miles southwest of there in a very scenic town called Granbury. Looks like it is out of a Western Movie set. If you need a place to stay, we would be glad to have you. Can send GPS info, if needed.

Ok, since the two are pretty busy "hitting" the road - let me provide a little update:

they made it thru Mexico and are now in the Santa Barbara area.

They highly appreciate all the assistance and advice that was given to them until now.

So, once again, if you have not done so yet but are ready and available to help fellow-bikers, please contact them at:

They may want to stay in CA for a bit, a very cold week headed into the Southwest with highs in Las Cruces in the 40's (4 - 5c) for the next week but after that may hit 70f (21c). I'll be here until the 21st then will probably head to Big Bend :clap

Latest known location of Heidi & Bernd: Las Vegas :D

Hope they will have enough money after that to continue their trip :rofl

Or maybe they can afford another couple of years on the road :ear
