    Ok....
Are you wanting to know what the advantages of a windscreen are, or are you trying to look cool ?
I will answer: Windscreen, all the way.
Ride safe all, and please, ATGATT, remember, someone Loves you.

Well I'll be honest, I'd like to know the advantages of having it on vs off, AND which looks better. What do you think?

Without the screen looks pretty cool in my book! No screen means all the wind is on your body though, that'll put your gear to the ultimate test. I leave my windscreen on all the time but mine is a PITA to take off! :baldy

They are usually mutually exclusive. Looks better without the windshield, but having the windshield on makes the ride more comfortable as well as letting you ignore more bad weather.

Speaking of dogs, is your kickstand propped up in a pile?

No, it's the asphalt that gave way slightly during the warm summer we had here in VA. I think I like the look without, it looks a little meaner but I rode it today and the wind noise was unbelievable above 30 mph. On a short trip it would be fine but anything over about 20 minutes would be pretty brutal. Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate the input.

Looks better off.....if you care about looks.

If you care about wind then leave it on. IMO motorcycles are supposed to be windy.

To me, what looks better than both the options you presented is this: a smaller windshield that doesn't overpower the looks of the bike, but still gives you something to duck behind in case of a swarm of bees. Think WindVest.

Definitely looks better with it off. As for practical impacts, go for a ride each way and see for yourself, everyone has different ideas on windscreens. I generally don't care for them.

what do you care about the looks? If you're riding on the highway through wind an rain do you think anybody cares about how your bike looks? your bike has to be functional, but maybe you're one of these pussys who are only riding by good weather then go with the looks, you'll need it :lol3
