Well, a lot of us are GD tired of hearing the whining from fans of teams outside the SEC bitchin about it. The fact is it's not just a bunch of knuckle dragging, redneck, Kool-Aid drinkers saying that. pretty much every sports media person agrees.
I don't think SC is as good as FL or GA, especially without Lattimore now. I do think if GA and FL played 4 times they'd each win 2.
So Joker is out, no big surprise there, Who's next? Smith was gone at the end of the year that AR hired him so really can't count him. Dooley, Cheezit maybe Pinkel. Cheezit's got a huge buyout, but rumor has it boosters have the money and are very willing to pay it off. Dooley, well some of Tenners problems aren't his fault, but still, doubtful he gets another season. Pinkel, he's a bit of an idiot and has accumulated some baggage. His contract is up in 2015 and I don't think there's much of a buyout clause. They've had some issues at QB but hey, they got wonder boy DGB.
Little heartache here in potatoland. First time since Oct 2007 the Boise State has been out of the poles and the local diehards are swimming with the steelhead in the Boise River. (Except for those who count BSU losses as chicken soup for the soul.) Mrs. Snow misses the high flyng offenses of past but I remember when it was exciting just to be ranked. 21-19 - San Diego State played well but BSU special teams lost the game. Also O line play was poor - 6 rushing yards the second half and 2 sacks - twice the yearly total. QB Southwick is a journeyman - 20 completions but just 164 yards and a few key incompletions. Interesting to see what happens - 3 way tie for first in the MW. Only thing I know is we are headed for another frozen taco muffler bowl. And yeah - the SEC is impressive. Gotta ask how other ranked teams would fair if they played in that conference.
Nice way to describe the SEC fan base! God, I love pokin' you guys. Note to NS: I live in an RV, not under a bridge!
in Pac12 news, a few significant events happened over the weekend: -ucla is now ranked higher than usc for the first time since 2001 (all 3 polls) -ucla has a new all time rushing leader in Johnathan Franklin, surpassing Gaston Green's 3,731 yds -usc gave up the most yards it ever has in a single game against oregon (730 yds), prompting universal condemnation of monte across usc forums internetwide -I have no idea how, but Colorado just keeps getting worse. getting shut out by Stanford moves them to 1-8. -starting to see decommits from usc, the latest one (max redfield) on sunday night (going to ND instead), that choice won't sit well.

I'm a southern boy, but this year you can forget Alabama, Florida & Texas ..........Ohio is The State of College football. Ohio State 10-0 Ohio 8-1 Bowling Green 6-3 Cincinnati 6-2 Toledo 8-1 Kent State 8-1 Miami 4-5 That's a combined record of 50-13 and some of the loses are to other Ohio teams. Impressive. I still hate Ohio State, not because of Meyer but because of the smack talk in '06.
