sunday met some freinds in helen wild women dancing where my wife left me for another man bless his heart he don't know what he's in for
ok we didn't ride but these guys did i used to ride with this guy all the time, last time i saw him his hair was black joey left early, which was a smart move (he used to not be that smart trust me on this ) sam & matt headed south Meat & nig headed north for some reason i didn't feel so bad about not riding
this morning once again we (we being robin, chrome slug & me) left out at the crack of noon, headed to fraizers the local harley shop for their 21st custmer appraication day (yea spellings not my strong suit) traveling tru gainesville down past oakwood, i couldn't pass up an old gas station
the fellow who lives/or lived at this intersection was some sort of grand poo baa with the kkk years ago. He had some kkk signs & statues up all over his property. Every 2 or 3 yrs, when they were trying to remove the confedrate flag off the ga flag or there was a hate crime or trying to make him remove stuff from his yard etc..... One of the local news stations would go interveiw him & he was allways mad. I used to tell people the guy just hates cans. Cause he'd be on the news yelling "I hate mexican's, i hate africans, i hate puerto ricans, i hate em all" You can see his flag is still there but that's about all. onto the pirate show bikes
trials bikes they also had free bbq, but by the time we got there it was all gone a raffle truck i gotta admit the thought did cross my mind i could go home get another bike & drink beer in the shade while they washed it, but i guess the rest of the bikes will just stay dirty for now.
hauled butt home grabed a button up shirt, jacket & a dress for robin, we had friends getting married in suches. a great day to be in the mtns
i'd checked mapquest & it showed camp road right off 60, turns out you it was off johinny gap road, useing our phones for gps, they lost signal. We stopped and asked directions no one had heard of camp rd. We stopped in some guys yd who was maning the grill, he got his mom she knew the road and the WHOLE histroy of it we rolled in alittle late (again) changed in the parking lot the bride & groom some big time dancers
one of my buddies kids trying out the chrome slug i don't know why we had so much trouble finding it it being on the main drag and all from there it was on to two where flux & ktmexrider were camping its always good to pull in some where shoot someone a bird and their smile gets bigger
TWO was one of the 3 motorcycle only campgrounds in the us in the 80s. Now there s bunches of them. The guy that leased the property died, & his sons didn't want a lease it any more so it was closed Last year anew guy bought the whole property 60-70 acres & has been renovated it ever sence. It's now open again. He's made some big improvements. Next time i'm up there i'll try to get more pictures. When we got there was mark & dave and another couple there. They were living out of a toyhauler they'd left in anderson sc as a base camp & were tent camping tonight as they travel the usa. I'm big time jealous. Here's her bike that's a dog box on the back for their little ankle biter & a closer look at the paint joe her old man said she's just bragging
last weekend was the gathering of the clans, missed it. This wkend was bmwra at biltmore, hot springs abate, british in the blue ridge.......... missed em i have gotta do better. Was meeting a friend to look at camper this afternoon so i did get alittle riding in. Pulled old blue out cranked it up, dropped it in gear back tire spinning with the clutch still pulled in :eek1glad i was in gravel where all it did was dig a hole in stead of running me into something Clutch cable was good i'll have to check into it later. Roll out the old /5. a local watering hole close to home now
robin & me went up to Helen last night & had supper with dad & louise, they were on their way to salem Oregon for the moa national. They were leaving Helen this morning headed to Lynchburg tn.
Good to see you a few weeks ago, glad you and Robin popped by TWoS. Let's do it again sometime, dude.
I've been thinkn i'd like to try both rides good, handles good big back seat (that's important) only thing for such a big bike it sure does have little saddlebags i'm liking the crossroads better, but that's just me HAPPY ANNIVERSERY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tell Jackie hey!
Thanks for the annibursary wishes, Mark. We went for a bike ride following Mississippi Blues Trail markers down to Clarksdale. Beautiful ride meandering around the delta. Then we got stuck dodging thunderstorms on the way home--not very successfully I might add. When the time comes we'll test ride the Vision and the Cross Country Tour. Mama will get to pick which one.
