You guessed correctly, Almost to the 9500 foot high barrier - that was the late May trip, and it wasn't open further up yet.

    Wow,

Nice to see this thread started back up. I can't post any pics right now but I am the proud new owner of a 2004 FXDXi, vivid black. I got her late in the season and the snow and ice is keeping the mileage down right now. It is sucha great bike. I had super-serious reservations when I traded my DL650 for it, but as soon as I rode away from the dealership I never looked back. I had to trade my 640e on it too. THAT is a little harder to swallow. I waited a LONG tome to get that KTM and it will be a few years before I can two-bike it again. (OR so I say untill spring comes along)

2002 883R. I plan to drive to Inuvik NWT via the Dempster Hwy next summer. :D Air cooled, carburated, easy to work on, slightly, uh, heavy. Should be fun.

Wolfgang... Nice. FWIW, there's a book I read a few years ago about a school teacher in Texas I believe, taking his Sportster during the summer break on a 12,000 mile ride through Canada and Alaska. "Alaska Aberration" is the title, by Allen Bartell.

I'm another Victory rider and VMC peep. I've put about 10,000 miles on it this year. It's a 05 Kingpin Deluxe. I haven't bothered to put on a new exhaust or do any mods to it. I really love this bike, it's been bullet proof and a hell of a good ride.

Here is a pic of it at the top of Crater Lake during some nice weather.

SDMike, I'll have to differ with you. That picture of the black Victory is the best looking bike of the bunch. Lemme get out of here and go back to reading the trip reports or I'm gonna get in trouble. Audios!

I was flipping through the thread and came across a couple of other Victory bikes in there. I figured I'd add mine in as well. Beats starting a "Show us your Victory." thread or putting in the sport bikes. Besides, they're both American made bikes.

I thought someone would have been a smart ass by now and cracked about riding the wrong Polaris vehicle for the snow. :lol3

The last time this thread was active, I didn’t have the ability to upload pictures, But now I’m a Snug mug dude and will become a picture posting monster.

Here’s a couple of shots of my Pan. I’ve owned it for over 25 years and is capable of going anywhere. It’s a 50FL, stock cases & heads. Everything is fresh with around 19 K since the last restoration. Paucho frame, inline original springer, Motor is all SS internals, balanced & blueprinted ½” mild strocker, std bore, 84”, Teflon coated forge pistons, 540 lift cam, Morris mag, open primary, suicide clutch / jockey shift, Andrews close ratio gear box, all of the best, ect, ect. I have done all the work but actual machining. Bike is as close to a true 60’s bobber as you can find and a real sweet runner. New twin cams are nice, but I’ll stick to the old iron.:thumb

Heck, I don't mind y'all posting here as long as the metric riders don't take it as an invite to jump in -- just kidding :lol3 But heck, there's nothing wrong starting with a Show Us Your Victory thread. Polaris is doing a great job of setting itself apart from Harley -- that Hammer is wild :eek1
