Owch. A lot of us fit that OLD remark. Gotta wait till retirement to ride cross country.
I sure hope there is enough rest stops by then!
Ocean front motel reservation has been made. Weather forecast is good at the target site.

Well, he seemed to be granite and the volcanos in this area went extinct about 500 million years ago...eggy has us all beat by several orders of magnitude.

It looks like Eggy first showed up in May 2009. The game started without a mascot, then someone added Blockhead a few tags in. He moved around a bit but was placed in an area with no night time access. The tag was grabbed but Blockhead stayed there. He was replaced by a chicken who was subsequently chicken-napped on Coney Island and Eggy joined in. At one point after that, Blockhead reappeared along with a replacement chicken. There was a showdown and Eggy emerged victorious.

    End of history lesson! :).

My philosophy is that "old" equals my current age + 40.

Imitation or not.. doesn't matter. It's time to fly south for the winter. Eggy liked the p40 at the eastern adv dinner. I told him by George I had an airplane just his size.

    NEW TAG...
Eggy is with the Swamp Fox.
The movie " The Patriot " Mel Gibson's character, Benjamin Martin, is based partly on 4 real war heros.
Much of the events in the movie didn't happen, the burning of the church full of people, shooting Martin's son.etc.
The final battle is based on the battles at Cowpens and Guilford. Tactics used by the American's are still used and taught today. Withdrawing the center after 2 shots did happen. The Swamp fox wasn't in either battle. He commanded local unpaid militia and harrassed Cornwallis's outpost and supply lines. Cornwallis sent the real Colonel Banastre Tarleton to find them. Tarleton chased them thru the swamps for 26 miles before giving up. It was Tarelton that gave him his nom de guerre, when he swore, as for this damned old fox, the Devil himself could not catch him. The Swamp Fox used tactics he had learn from fighting Indians in the French and Indian War. He is credited in the lineage of the US army rangers.
Eggy is at his burial site.

You will find Eggy at the base of the large tree in the back right corner of the plot. You can see the tree to the right in the background from the front wheel of my bike.
Eggy is hiding at the base of the tree in back, behind the moss.

Have a good and safe ride. I am honored to have hosted Eggy, and to have visited the Swamp Fox. LW97

So I left with intentions of grabbing SE LotD Tag, grabbing ENC Tag, and NC tag. Left at 2230ish. Got to Murfreeboro, and eggy posts he hit the road. So I picked him up. A graveyard is creepy anyway, BUT it was a VERY COOL drop. Props to the Wolf!

Now I'm 600+ miles in, and we are doing the breakfast thing.

Now I will continue onto Bath and the Aviation museum IF the little lady isn't going to kill me for not coming home.
