She left to go back South to Mississippi late last night. The house was pretty quiet this morning.

This is my last post to Advrider from work, I am retiring in 30 minutes after 30+ years. It was fitting of Andrew, friend and co-worker, to ride today because I'm handing the "are you nuts?" title over to him (the Kawi 250SM). Good kid, we pedal, run, ride, kayak together but no longer work together. He's also taking over part of my job, Cartographer.

Sorry I didn't ride my 950 today, the 640 was closest to the door.

Awesome Mike!!! For those of you that only know Mike from the internet, I must tell you, he is a great friend and teacher. My dual sport experience has been fantastic while riding and learning with him.
He has mucho patience with riders that don't have as much experience as he does.

And that's just about everyone he rides with.

Congratulations and many happy trails in the future.

    Thanks Tom and others.

For now, I am taking the Month of January and trying to catch up on unfinished home projects and finding a part time job to maintain the "mistresses" that reside in my garage.

I may take a trip south to either the Daytona or Atlanta Supercross then over to visit my sister in western Tennessee on the 950 in March

Once the snow melts, the 950 will be back on the trails, for now 2-track

I've only ever done a couple ride reports online but I've logged them on my PC. My last 3 trips never made it to type but I have plenty of pictures.

2 days a week going over bikes and 3 working on my house through January, ride and play when I can.

Thomas, we'll get your bike done 1st, after I clean the work bench of in the garage.

    Hi Camion!

I have been looking/watching your pics/videos, and looks like you are having big fun overthere :evil
Think there is not much russian riders posting here, so thanks for sharing :1drink

Great pics, specially those from Iceland!

By the way, did you know that "Camion" means "Truck" in spanish?

Keep your adventures coming, mate (droog?)

    Didn't know that, Salzig... thanks!

So, for those whom their wives keep saying "Again lurking and wasting your time at AdvRider instead of fixing this or that at home?!?!?"... be aware that you now can answer "My love, AdvRider is a huge knowledge fountain that exceeds bikes topics, to expand my mind about other cultures and languages, and makes me easier to understand the most important, finest and deepest mysteries of life, and therefore, I can be fully committed to our family." :lol3

Ok, back to our time wasting :D... According to your signature and to the color your bike as it shows your avatar, I understand you converted your 990 in S, keeping the stock ABS. but if it was the inverse case, an S model to which you added the ABS, I would be interested in more details about it, thanks!

    Hello All,

I'm joining the group as a 2012 990 Adv owner as of last month. I managed to get a few hundred kms in before the freezing weather hit. :eek1 Would like to thank the group for helping me choose this bike as the "one " to have if you only have one bike in the garage. It's true that it's given me more smiles per mile than any other I've owned. Jesse bags go on next month, can't wait til spring but I'll have to.
