    It's the canyon way...

There is a certain group of riders in the ABQ area that are pretty much solely responsible for bringing a rash of cops to my favorite twisty because they insist on riding through it as fast as possible. At least one of their group crashes on it per year too. THey treat it like an all-out race track with complete disregard for everyone and everything else on it. Knee down around every corner, etc. Some of them ARE skilled riders, but it IS NOT THE PLACE.

Thanks to them, the road is just about unrideable anymore because it's constantly crawling with pissed off law enforcement. :pissed Didn't used to be that way.

There are so many people out there, there is no room for fast... just scary.
People of all skill and sobriety levels out there. There is no fun to be had when its that busy unless you stop and talk about the other riders :lol3

    Here for reals.

I thought he passed illegally too, but isn't lane splitting legal in CA? Didn't he pass (mostly) on the right side of the yellow?

Regardless, that was a terrible video.

Commenters on the rnickeymouse version of the video point out that he made a braking error. Easy to see in the slow-mo replay at about 0:23 on the rnickeymouse video.

Have you been there? It's not like being at a theme park where you're in a long line or anything.

Man, the only time I've been breathing that heavy in my helmet is after picking it up out if the mud for the third time. That dude got winded just picking it up off the side stand.

Funny what happens when you lock up the front in a turn.

You have a very incorrect definition of what "lane splitting", as allowed in CA, is.

Short version: You have to be BETWEEN lanes going the SAME direction.

Actually, in the same lane as another vehicle going your same direction. If you are hitting a stripe with your tire you're doing it wrong.

Of course, CHP does it wrong too.

I figured out how this guy crashed.

He pissed off the Harley Gods who took 16 seconds to react.

There's enough dweebish noob air to his commentary to be strangely entertaining (to me).

If you have the patience to watch his other videos, you will learn his riding history goes like this:

I suggested he get a DRZ400 and he agreed, but his response was that he prefers less technical runs like the Ortega Highway and is too much of an adrenaline junky to get rid of his ZX10R because he likes the acceleration.

I think somebody else already pointed this out, but the reason he went down was because he didn't have a guardian bell.

By the love of God, get me off this bike! Oh! he's finally off.
Gee wheez it took long enough before he went down. Just sitting in front of the screen watching the video I was getting dizzy and ready to puke good thing he went down because I was getting ready to fall off my chair.
I suggest this rider to stay behind and learn how to ride before pass anyone.:eek1

I suggest the publisher of that video learn to edit his videos.

I think doing it all in green screen would improve it dramatically. :evil

I did like the cartoon bubbles commenting about the DY line cross and so forth. I wonder why he went down. No idea based on the vid.
