This weekend myself and 249 other dual sport riders rode the LBL 200. This is one of the events on the AMA dual Sport series. This was the 26th year for this event. This is my favorite dual sport ride of the year. If you have a chance to ride it make the effort.
We had major rain on Friday night which lead to extremly muddy conditions at the begining of the event

KentuckyKLR. I was impressed with the number of "Big Bike" riders that did most of the entire course

Husky had a demo ride at the end of the loop on day 1. You could ride a brand new Husky on a 2 mile single track section

    Sunday was a beautiful day.

The "Sunday only " single track section. It was great.

Some of it was real tight

This was my first year. Those guys really put on a nice show. The food was good and plentiful. The site was nice. The trail stayed on one type of riding for just long enough to not get board. The fist 12 miles where brutal if you could not get your tires clean. I saw a few older guys in the klr 650's having real hard times. I felt for them. We averaged 8 miles an hour over the first 12 miles and passed lots of people.

Most of the single track is closed to bikes the rest of the year. Most all of the gravel is open year round.

Great pics and report. I dont think I could have spent my weekend with a better group of people. The big bike was definately a challenge Saturday morning, but the rain did provide perfect trail conditions for the afternoon and Sunday. After about an hour of pressure washing, my bike looks pretty close to the before pic, minus a mirror(oops!!!:muutt). Can't thank the whole Thomas family enough for all their efforts to put the ride together, 26 years and counting. See ya next year.
