Here are some from a couple of weeks ago above Central City here in Colorado. That is snow and its not even the end of summer. All the trees were green around me, but this little bit of gold.
Awesome photos everyone! I've never seen "peak color" and the leaves changing in person. Always too far South for the real rich stuff. I was thinking of heading up into Arkansas from Austin, Texas soon. I know it's difficult to predict. But, to those who know the Southern, Mid, and Northern forests of Arkansas... when would be my best shot for two weeks when I might hit "peak" coloring in these areas? These photos are so beautiful, I simply have to see and photograph some for myself.
