Just called all three, ad to leave messages for McGregor and Reece but told receptionist for the other three that as a long time motorcyclist and someone who has benefitted from a return rider class they are greatly needed. That allowing those funds used by the MSF classes was a disservice to motorcyclist and other motorists because of the decrease in public safety that would result.

To change it back, go to:

User Control Panel > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Forum Skin > ADVrider 2.0

I agree with d mc gee, Steve...none of the drills are so arduous that they cant be done with a big bike. I did this course on the Magna, which is 600 lbs (of awesome! ) and is not particularly good at turning...never dropped it once. In my class, there was a guy on a Harley bagger that was dragging hard parts on one of the cornering drills. You'll be fine on the GSA. And I'd think that the skills/drills transfer more readily from the big bike to the small, rather than vice versa.

I have a question for the brain trust...



I broke this tab off my rear caliper assembly after installing the zeta rear disk guard. (It broke after taking a hit to the guard)



I know they don't sell just that part but the whole assembly. My question is....do any of you know of another rear brake disk guard that I can use that doesn't use this tab to mount it?

I probably would have bent the rotor several times by now. The disk guard did take a lot of hits before it broke off that tab.

You think it could be welded without screwing it up any further?

Depends on the skill of the welder. Good ones can work miracles, bad ones just make an ugly mess thats only barely better than duct tape.

I would not weld that caliper bracket. To much chance of heat transfer and weakening or tweaking a somewhat vital part.

I've been contemplating cutting a sharkfin out for a while now, if I do, it's going to attach to the axle and clamp to the swing arm.

Depends on how far away it is,what type of material,welder,how it cracked...

Come to think of it, I only have two "guards" on my bike, a skidplate Alan made from a piece of scrap aluminum, and handguards. I've beat that thing to death and haven't broken anything not protected.
