    Hiking photo's huh... Okay!

First off; that photo of the lake was full of hints!

Second; as long as they keep me here on the orchard your all safe, kind of! They let me out once in awhile to play on a short leash as long as Crashclay is along to keep me under control. Better not get lost on a hike they might send me!:evil :rofl

So here's one from this summer with just as many if not more clues than your lake photo!

Looking for the name of the creek.

Not a trail for miles, looking up stream where we came from.

And right over head, all were shot standing in one spot (yes, by me). Then they flew off and left us there in the middle of the woods! :freaky

This creek definitely does a lot of falling, but no it's not Falls creek. That is a good mountain bike ride on the WA side of the Columbia though. :D

My .02, photo should be from a motorcycle adventure, so if you rode to the trail head that counts, if you got dropped out of a helicopter not so much.

A couple of us with the Crag Rats here in Hood River use our bikes to access remote trail heads that go into the wilderness areas around us. We have a couple trail heads that take us about 15 min. to get to with a lite ready pack but in a truck it can take 45 min.

As for the helicopters, the only time we get a insertion or extraction by helicopter for the most part is above tree line. Down in the trees they really only extract the injured.

My bad, when you stated "no trails for miles" and then showed the 'copter flying off I made some assumptions.

Craig The Crag, My hats off to ya, :clap

I read all about it last night.

Fall, 2011 -- On August 9, 2011, the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office (HRCSO), with assistance from several local and regional search organizations, successfully concluded the search for 28-year-old Pamela Salant of Portland. Salant, who had been missing for four days in the Mt. Hood National Forest near Bear Lake, was located from the air by a National Guard helicopter. She was injured but successfully airlifted from the scene, aided by ground personnel from the Crag Rats, a Hood River County based mountain rescue team.

The search, which gained national attention, was a testament to the hard work and dedication of volunteers who help Sheriff’s Offices around the state carry out their search and rescue operations on a daily basis.

Assisting the HRCSO with the search were the Crag Rats, Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, and Multnomah County.

Good Job, :thumbup If we ever meet up the first round will be on me!

As for this thread I have decided not to post anymore Hiking pictures (for awhile) Even though I started it. :D I think it is moving the thread in a direction away from the spirit of ADVRider. But I don't want to discourage anyone from posting pictures of anywhere. Share whatever you want. I would highly recommend Cutthroat lake for a ride/ hike. Ride over Washington pass then change your boots and make the 30-40 minute hike to a beautifull lake. Just be sure to do a R/H-R. And I had no Idea where Bear Lake or Lindsey Creek was. But now I know. Maybe I'll check it out someday. So keep it up! and as for me, I'll be Posting my favorite Moto adventure destinations.

I guess I'm up now, so I'll be back in a while with the next photo.
