Mike, I have a valve adjusting tool for those if you think you'll need it. Can be done without, but just makes it a little easier.

    Lemme know.

I started thinking about that after I posted. Wasn't sure if you would adjust left pair, then adjust middle pair but only by the screw on the right most and so on. It makes more sense now that you mention a central adjusting screw for each pair so you can balance right bank versus left bank.

At first glance I thought it was a Ninja 250. Looking closer the differences show.

Same here, thought it was a ninjette. It still looks like a twin. So what is it, an ex500?

For some reason I figured it would be like the 250 and have the timing chain on one side instead of in the middle like a inline 4. Like HBN said, learn something every day including the fact that everyone and there brother has a carb sync tool except Michub.

Seem to remember the early zx9's did have chain/sprocket on the end of cam shafts vs middle. Which seemed unusual and possibly unique, can't remember any other big racy 4's like that.

    oh the shame.. :cry

Hey does anyone have a pulley puller I can borrow? Strange thing happened to Nicoles Pathfinder, The pulley on the Harmonic Balancer fell off...:huh...Never seen this before on my end...Any way out of the 3 pulleys on the balancer the front 2 fell off. Need to pull the rest of it off and replace it. Got the whole think apart and the part will be in tomorrow, so looking to borrow it tonight & get it back tomorrow.

    Thanks

I don't have anything that big, but a similar thing happened to my neighbors Nissan (or Honda) sedan. He wound up going to Autozone or Advance, told them what he was needing to do, and they gave him the tools to do the job. He had to put down a deposit, but got that back when the tools were returned.

That might be your best bet if some other inmate doesn't have what you need. Some pix of the remaining pulley might be helpful so folks can see just what your dealing with.

Got it thanks for the PMs everyone...

It's not as big of a job as I had stressed, just need the right tools & wait for parts...while waiting I ended up changing tranny fluid & filter, & flushing the radiator...it's expensive when you get bored..

Got the high bars reinstalled on the 250. Standing up will be a hell of a lot more comfortable next time I decide to explore the training grounds.... Probably after things dry out a bit so I'm not sliding around too much on my street tires. Still looking for a usable 16" front tire that will do better in dirt though.

Sic Semper Tyrannis: I sent you a PM about maybe working on some shorter dogbones. Hit me up any time!

Look forward to riding with you guys again. :freaky
