Thanks for the link GAS GUY!:clap It was extremely well written and clear. I have an 08 w/ 2000 miles on it and already pretty deep grooves in the slider. I followed their instructions and the chain seems really tight after adjusting to their specs, as a guy who usually runs it pretty slack this seems sorta odd, but only time will tell. I ran the suspension through it's travel and adjusted at the tightest point.

Emission testing in Virginia? Wait that doesn't apply to where I live.

Looks like it is only required for the following cities/counties: Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas or Manassas Park.

Being Father's Day weekend, I finally got out to ride both days this weekend. It was great. The one thing that stuck out to me was how happy I am, that I shelled out the money. for the rear shock rebuild. I was blasting through the sandy and tight south NJ whoops, and had no issues doing it. :clap

I go for only 1/4 inch at the tightest point. Since I don't want to pull the linkage bolt for every adjustment, I made a gauge from 1 X 1 lumber. The gauge is made to fit tight at full swing arm extension, and it correlates to 1/4 inch at the tightest. Any change in rear sprocket size, or change at the threaded shock clevis will warrant making a new tool. I have 2400 miles of off road abuse and minimal marks on the original slider.

I'm sure the 1/2 inch would yield similar results, but changes in adjustment would need to be addressed promptly.

Hi, I bought 2011 Wr250r earlier this spring. Previous owner had modded gearing (sprockets). The odometer reading and actual mileage are different. This is going to problem when I am doing Route(roll) Sheet events. Any suggestion?:ear Thanks

There's a "distance compensation" mode for following roll charts described in the manual. Or, you could get a Speedo DRD from 12 O'clock labs.

I couldn't get "distance compensation" mode to work worth a damn. I use my GPS odo.

Great stuff! While I realize that dynos are not an exact science I did find that the chart for the HP required to drive a WRR through the air lined up pretty well with where my bike dyno'd at.

I installed a Trailtech Voyager, it reads from two sources; gps & a wheel sensor. I also wanted a simple device to get my GPS location, the Voyager solved a couple issues for me. It also has some mapping and tracking functions that I haven't used.

    Nope!

The flatland guard I bought before I bought the Safari tank but never installed it. It's not needed with the tank

The GTYR stuff I bought and decided not to use.

Figured I would clean out the garage a little... you know?

Shoe creek isn't muddy just rocky. You can run it with pretty much any DS tires. The crossings are not terribly deep but might be a little higher due to all the recent rain. Might be some downed trees also. From the south end it isn't bad as mostly uphill and easy to turn around if you decide to go back. It's also easier to go up the rock steps than down.
