Nothing fancy, but this is Hwy 40 between Duchesne and Heber. It's a great ride.

this is called Nighthawk Hill. This section of the gravel road is a 15% grade. The first time I took this road was on a 1991 Yamaha FJ1200. That kinda freaked me out. But now I've been over it so many times I took my wife on it 2up on the KLR last Sunday. :super

I was there yesterday, took the day off work for my birthday, and me and a buddy did the cascade loop. Quick little 500 mile day ride. Only saw 1 fire, quite a few elk, and almost NO other riders. Gotta love riding at 6am on a Tuesday!

    Keep the pictures coming!

And this is nothing really special, but it's not too far from home, and I enjoy having some fun there from time to time. There are not enough twisty roads in my area...

I live in a pretty good part of the world when it comes totwisty roads. It's about a 40 minute ride to Deals Gap (aka The Dragon) but I don't go there any more. If I want to spend an afternoon leaning real fast, I go to Highway 116, just north of Knoxville. But we have lots of good choices around here.

I don't have any pictures of 116 (and as far as I'm concerned, all you jerks should just stay away - I like it empty and without LEOs, and I want it to stay that way) But here are a few from the road I take to get there. It's Highway 61.

This road is between Beverly and Bemis WV. Doesn't look like much in pictures but it's rough as hell and a blast to ride fast. Even blew a fork seal once. Very few cars and trucks us it because it's too rough but lots of locals on 4 wheelers and side by sides. Surprises the hell out of them when I come up behind them on my V Strom.
