Was at Hell's Kitchen today too... Blue DRZ - Showed my Triumph Tiger buddies the gate at Blue Jay but they didn't want to venture any further. Probably a good call.

Exited 91 at old "Coal Canyon" exit and rode up and over to Skyline on Friday. Nice ride - nobody in sight...

I went up yesterday through corona and came out at maple to a closed gate, no problem for me. Total of 108 miles.

Yes there was some ice in a few spots. I went down once, video to follow shortly.

Got to the ice and decide I should turn the camera on just in case I go down. Sure enough I hit the ice when I was heading back up to get my sunglasses that I dropped when I truned the camera on.

I pretty much cruised the whole way down in stealth mode. No motor, just letting gravity do its thing... kinda cool.

Aw haw haw Thumbs!!! You had it the first time too. I hate it when that happens. Good trail-side repair job on the shades. CNF sucks.

So that's why it is closed. They don't want some drunk kid sliding off the cliff in a jeep. There should be different rules for bikes.

    Nice crash.

Ok you ff's, this is the thread with all the info and cool peeps so ill ask here... My super bro is hooking me up with a ride on his sv650 race bike this Sunday at buttonwillow raceway at a trackday he's hooked up. I've got a Dr650, and a need to be there by 10am leaving from Huntington Beach. I'll leave as early as needed, but have to make it a one day trip. Any route suggestions that don't include "take the 405 to the 5 and you're there" are appreciated. Thanks.

Name's Rob. AFM number 895. Had a bad get off in 2010 and hasn't raced with afm since, but kept the bike and does track days with the sv and rental ninja 250's.

My suggestion would be to hop on PCH to 101 to the 33. Hang a right on Lerdo Hwy. That will dump you right out at the track.

The cool part is you have a DR650. So you can hit some cool fireroads on the way. Keep in mind this is at least a 4-6 hour ride one way.
