Nothing wrong with the sale or the bike, aside from being overpriced, but apparently some designer at "Triump" went 22 years into the future and saw an XS1100 and decided that would be the design to base the Bonneville on.

    This one takes the cake:
    http://york.craigslist.org/mcy/4010482288.html

I looked at the photos first, and was wondering why there was one of his mom/girlfriend with the bike. Then I read the text and found out...

"Pay full price ill make it a good biker deal and we will tag team my girl "

What!? Is that supposed to help sell the bike? You would have to pay me to go anywhere near her...

Not a huge deal, except that both the model name Ally and the item itself "goggles" are printed on the "new in box" that he describes in the ad, as we all see.

This is not a bike you are riding to work tomorrow, its in need of tlc and is a great start for a v-twin Honda hotrod. Clean open CT tiltle. The exhaust crossovers rot out on these but i have a new one with gaskets, i also have the side cover. Great vintage bike to BUILD!!! I have over $1300 in this bike. The bike you buy looks better than the bike you see...IMO.
    Not a terrible price either.

How exactly is that an engineering feat and qualify as "dumbass"? That's a pretty normal thing.

4-1 header on a twin? Not very normal if you ask me.

    AHEM ...

"Power for the Ninja 250R comes from a high-revving, liquid-cooled, in-line twin-cylinder four-stroke engine featuring dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder."

Two exhaust ports per cylinder ...

Two exhaust VALVES per cylinder do not two exhaust PORTS per cylinder necessarily make. I am not familiar with that engine but I did not think that it had two pipes coming off each cylinder even if it did have four valves per cylinder and this photo of the Ninja engine from that very link appears to support that. I could be wrong and often am.

Not as dumbass as some of the dumbassery that's been posted here, but this ad on the local CL caught my eye. Here it is, complete, and unedited:

    Dual sport - $1200
<SECTION class=userbody><SECTION id=postingbody>Needs gas tank and battery and trotal wire

Yep. That's it. That's all the information you get.
