Watched the Australian Safari on telly last night....you have some awesome terrain! (And definitely XR650R natural habitat) It must be a blast riding there.
yes we have it all but out in the desert country is the best big open fast ..xrr's are at home ...mind you those pesky orange things haul some ass as well ......to fast for me at 200kph plus on the dirt heres some vid uploaded from an inmate from the australian safari ...xr650r ...there a few of them good watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w3is9PSzhs
Interesting little fuse block. Does it have a manufacture or part number? I like it. Looks like a clean install. Mine is a bit more basic with only two fuses to cut power to all accessories (headlight is singled out). We dont' have a ton of room on XRR's for wiring...
Guys, I just got a Nice XR650r and I want to get some new Springs for the Front and rear, does anyone sell a heavier spring then .49? I am 265 geared up and the bike is just begging for some help. Thanks
Not sure where you can source fork springs but the rear is available here in various kg's. http://www.precisionconceptsracing....ducts/honda-xr650r-shock-spring/prod_279.html
I almost always put 2 qts in , Its a science to get the tube to show the actual level , (just Idling never has worked for me) go out run it hard piss off the neighbors then you may see it rise to where it should be. Mine has never been where it should be after 1.7
just a generic made in china fuse block avaliable at auto parts store ..was like 10 bucks to get a good looking clean wire setup ...is just time trial and error ...

Can't wait to ride this thing in Alt Riders "Taste of Dakar" in Feb. Any one else going?
Hell yeah! Nice to see someone else jump the pig. Though I haven't done any fancy tricks yet (unless you count and accidental super man).
Anyone ever replace a clutch on a BRP? Anyhow, I bought a DP Clutch kit the one in the black case with new springs, plates and discs.. The OEM Honda clutch has a disc in the back(closest to the judder spring) that is bigger (ID) than the rest, the DP kit didn't have a disc like that, they are all the same size. I read a little and is sounded like people just replaced all the factory discs and plates (including the bigger ID disc) with the ones in the DP kit. So I did that and now I was trying to get the clutch adjusted and it doesn't seem to want to release even when I have it adjusted to pull out as far as possible. I havent added oil yet so pulling it back out is easy, but I was wondering if anyone had any info on this situation. Is it possible that I need to add a little torque to bust the clutch free the first time. As of right now it drags the tire while in gear. hope this makes sense.. its early
I just purchased a used MIKUNI TM40 and was hoping to get some inmate info on initial settings. My XRR is uncorked with factory exhausted. Factory air cover. Here in Tucson my play area is 2000'-6000' and 80-100 degrees. Looking for MJ #, PJ # and needle positions. Thank you.
Does anyone have some tips/experience on disassembling their forks? I'm having trouble loosening the compression stack/center bolt from the fork leg. Made the 27mm tool for the fork damper holder but the it just won't break loose.
