Been doing some research to find out what the things are worth.
I have never had any BSA experience. .....after some Internet snooping it appears that a grand is a pretty fair price.
The "no title" issue is what makes me hesitate....been there...done that.... about 3 times too many.
Always end up with a title but what a PITA + a couple hundred bucks.
The bike is not "openly" for sale so I have a little time to do my homework. Whenever I come across a small bike shop I always stop and ask if they have any project bikes. The shop owner planned on getting it going, but never got around to it...has too many other irons in the fire. He started at $1500.00 and went down to $1000.00 cash without much haggling.

I would offer $850 mentioning the title issue as way of negotiation :deal

I'd say if complete it's worth $1000. Don't know about your state, but being so old most states won't need a title.
I was actually able to get all original metal work for my Bantam. Everything else I need to get or replace I can actually by new. Just need the time to do the labor.

I ended up "passing" on this 57 Bantam last Fall. Recently it has showed up on C'list for a bit more than offered to me.
I only saw it surrounded by stuff in his shop. Looks pretty good in the light of day...funky paint graphics but doesn't look too bad. Seller now is asking $1500.00.
