Always a good way to learn about wrenching & to see how other cheap basturds convert hardware store items in weird & wonderful ways on a motorcycle!

I'd love to show up and meet some fellow PDXers. I'm out in far east Portland, close to Gresham. Got enough mechanical skill to get in trouble, too.

I'll probably come out for that, too! Scott_PDX (hi Scott!) helped me check mine last fall, but we had to order some shims and then I never got around to actually replacing them. Got everything ready to roll, though. I am also in NE Portland, so I'd be down to meet up and ride out with some other folks.

I see you made a post on KLR650.NET, that should drive some more KLRazies out . KLR World might be a good cross post also (Haven't looked there myself). Let us know what to bring/contribute to the festivities. I'll try to make it earlier this year than your last one.

Don't forget - for those of you who are going to check valves to get there early and work on something else for a couple of hours. Your engine needs to be cold to get an accurate reading. I'll bring my meager valve collection and Doo tools as well.
