Google maps... I thought "Stella won't go too far", so I started looking for trail heads from the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and eventually found this one.

As I stated earlier, I got my billy goat scout badge today for going through the terrain in my riding gear and motorcycle boots. If I had known, i would have taken off my pants and made the walk in my jeans.... I'm always up for a challenge, so i welcomed the opportunity.

Ali was exactly where it was in the photo. I'm damned happy that I took a printout with me. Otherwise I would have been turning over rocks and talking in four letter words. I'm sure the rowing crews in the Potomac would have heard me.

    I found Ali:

Ali had to point out the sign about the Windy Run Trail:

I told Ali, I definitely noticed that this was a trail, and I enjoyed hiking it, but boy, it fun jumping over the 4 streams and climbing up and down the rocks, quite a mini adventure.

Ali told me that he/she/it almost made a run for the Potomac, as it was easily within view. But Ali was scared of the aliens:

Ali said that they knocked over this tree that was on the path (I didn't believe my little toothy friend, but went along with it.

We carefully walked by the Aliens on the way back to the bike. But for some reason, this place was littered with sewer covers. So Ali had to stop at each one and see if one of his/her/it's relatives were in there. I told Ali, it's only in the movies where the croc's invade the sewer systems, but alas, we had to stop and inspect each one:

After all the sewer breaks, we found one of the tell tell clues:

And then another sewer cover. Never seen so many in a wooded area in my life. Just remind me not to fish in that area.

And after our hike, I was finally able to take the obligatory bike and Ali photo:

    TAG TAG TAG TAG

Ok, due to the clouds rolling in, and the rather windy conditions we've had lately we had a nice discussion on various meteorological events, including the big storms known as hurricanes. We focused in on the hurricane that was the deadliest in US history. As we talked about it. I told Ali right I knew where that hurricane hit and I told Ali we could hop right on over to it. So we did. And Ali is now at the site of the deadliest hurricane in history (or so I told Ali :lol3 ). This Court is...

Oh heck, here are some photo's.

Ali is under this little pine tree at the end of the court:

Looking from the bottom of the court, towards a main road:

    Another photo of the tree:

    Ali is under this A;

The A is under the tree, so you will have to reach in a little.

    Happy Tagging!! :D

Note: Bing maps is your friend on this one. Google maps doesn't show the court as well as Bing.

Ha! Really enjoyed your post TH. I noticed the tree and alien myself but didn't think to photograph them this time. Guess I spend enough time outside that I'm photojaded. Good grab and new tag :thumb

Here's the killer -- I grabbed a G2K tag there a year ago (March 22, 2012). You can even see an HBN clue in the pic. . ..

My apologies to SteelB12, but that is freaking hilarious.

It looks like we've graduated past the simple note and are now using mini safety cones... I wonder if NoVa Rider will head this, since he bruces me all the dang time.
