Yep, you're right. I did invite "any and all." I just didn't expect them show up! Chalk it up to my own inexperience with this sort of thing, but I honestly didn't think more than a few people would show any interest. :huh I guess we had such a good time last year, we couldn't help but talk it up.

I'm not worried about a large group riding *together*. I think we're on the same page in that respect. :D

I am a bit concerned about a large group in a small campsite in a small, quiet campground. Hart Mountain Hot Springs, especially, is small and low-key. You get more than a half-dozen or so *grown* men together around a campfire and it's bound to get pretty rowdy.:freaky

I'm pretty fond of quietly enjoying the outback.:kumbaya:bmwrider IMHO, nothing worse than a bunch of noisy asshats showing up in a previously peaceful place, cranking up the tunes, and generally making themselves unwelcome.

Jeez, I read the preceding and I'm starting to sound like a woos. Look people, if you feel like I shut the door in your face, I apologize.:shog :cry I accept any public flogging coming may way. If you still want to join the tour, but didn't raise your hand previously, lemme know.

Agree. Not every campout has to be a screaming drunk-fest......

... but those are fun too, just not for the neighbors.

I'm an idiot when it comes to food. I don't plan meals, nor am I creative in any way with ingedients.
Send me into the store without a list, and I'm likely to come out with nothing but beer. :norton:lol3

So: don't look to me to suggest, coordinate, or otherwise organize meals in any way.:D

Now that we've gotten that outta the way, if you have a creative bent on food and want (or are willing) to organize something, speak up. :ear

Otherwise, BYO. We'll stop in Lakeview for provisions.

    Gotta have one.
And, as Link said earler, we had a helluva time last year finding firewood in Lakeview.:deal

Please bring some if you can. If you don't have an easy source, you can grab some at my place.

If you're coming from a ways away and want to come down the night before, my back yard can hold a couple or three tents. Hopefully, it will have dried out a bit between now and then so it's not a swamp... :D

So who's fault was that? The guy that crashed in deep sand or the guy riding his ass in deep sand?

For the book I'd be the guy way up front that showed the others guys where they were gonna crash to start with. :lol3:lol3

Causin I would already be on the ground. Crashed

Keven my friend, just relax and let it be what it'll be, you'll have a much better time that way. I mean this sincerely, having put on a multitude of rides over the years.
You guys are going to have a blast just like last year and those of us that didn't get to ride with will be jealous, just like last year.

Kevin, one thing you should remember is that half the people will back out at the last minute anyway. Literally 50% almost w/o fail.

    It'll be allllll good.

Next time you're at Safeway, Albertsons, the foo-foo market on 29th and Willamette or any market or convenience store selling bundles of wood, look at it and think to yourself "For some reason I feel the urge to purchase a bundle before May 18th-I wonder why? hmmmmm" :hmmmmm

    http://www.lignetics.com/fire-logs.html

toss a package of these in the firepit,,add a splash of unleaded regular and a lit match. No muss, no fuss, no axe or saw, no insects crawling out, clean!,,no cleanup,,reduced smoke, recycled waste material, job creatiing, and no danger from falling trees! Get with it,,firewood is SOOO old fashioned.
If you'll notice from the website, they are available by the pallet load, so I suggest you simply have a load delivered to your intended campsite, set a few aside for morning, and have Link light the whole frikken pallet load and be done with it! :clap
    Geez,,you young kids,,,do I hafta think of everything?:huh :1drink

I ain't backin' out - just repeating what I said a few weeks ago. I'll be riding my own race the first day, since I live here. A different route (TBD) will take me to some interesting places, and in theory, should deliver me to the Hart Mtn hot springs Friday night to cuddle a bit with ass-river . Where the winds take me after that - hard to say..?

I will provide my own food, shelter, drink, and warmth. Do not bring me anything or depend on me for anything (except camp fire humor)!

See ya there, it'll be a blast!

Blast from the past there :eek1 I spent a year or two, maybe three working for Lignetics there in Kootenai. Bagged/stacked 40# bags of pellets, ran the loader for mixing the chips/sawdust mix depending on day. Brings back some memories.

There was the plant operator who had to monitor moisture content as the chips/dust mix went through the system...used to fuck with their heads every now & then & drop a huge chunk of snow in with a load of chips...fun times... at the time :freaky
