Long-time AdvRider lurker, finally decided to register :ear

Here is my 2000 CBR600F4 which was a very lucky barn find. I found her underneath a farmers house 12 mths ago where she had been sitting for a few years. The farmer got her as a trade for a boat but he never got round to using it much. She had 2165km on the clock and with all my recent trips, has just clocked over 12,000km. I felt guilty early on adding the km but now I think 'heck, made to ride so just do it'.

Other than regular cleaning and synthetic oil changes about every 3000km, I have put new rubber on her, refreshed front and rear brake fluid, had the seat recovered, bought a new screen and have put on a new rear brake pedal. There was also a cam chain adjuster to fix so I followed instructions and used a bolt to fix the chain adjuster. Will probably do a carb sync and new chain in the not too distant future but never a problem firing up.

And already had an offer to buy her..

I suppose it's time to add myself to this list. I have a 1980 CB 750 that's in awful shape and had been ignored for prolly 7 years. But with a workshop in the works within the next month I want to rebuild this bike and bring it back to life. No pic's at the moment but once I start teardown the pics will be coming. :freaky

The little things that make me happy:

Arrived yesterday, Secondhand however in great condition.
    Polished up a treat.

Having owned the bike since 2002 you kind of run out of goodies after you have bought everything for it, nice when something like this comes along.

Nice thread! I wanna play. The avatar is my 2007 CBR600RR. I bought it new, put 33K miles and 40 track days on her. Never complained, leaked a drop of oil, or broke down. Amazing bike.

Here's my new baby. 98 CBR600 F3. Looks like crap, but cost me the princely sum of $400.

For 400, she looks good. Your daughter (I presume.) will be riding it in a few years. That gives you plenty of time to get it dressed up and ready-to-go.
