Ok, just giving this a try. On the way back between Brownsville and Corpus I crossed this creek and decided to pull over. The sand was packed hard and no trouble riding or even to park upright. After the photo I jumped a few dunes...lugauge and all. This might also be a good place to camp. If the pic doesnt work it's not my fault....IT'S THIS DAMN COMPUTER!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/82355254@N06/8080142900/in/photostream
Well, maybe the computer is trying. So i pushed the "Insert Image" button and pasted the link inside but as you can see it only shows a white box with a red X inside. What gives?
Make sure it's a photo file, not just the url location. So it should have a .jpg, .gif, .png or some such suffix at the end.
flikr is picky about which images can be embedded in other sites. your image here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/82355254@N06/8080142900/in/photostream seems to be protected, too.
there ya go I went to the page where you can view all sizes http://www.flickr.com/photos/82355254@N06/8080142900/sizes/z/in/photostream/ I picked the medium size and then just right clicked on the image, went to properties and copied the .jpg address I pasted that into the image box here Hope that makes sense and helps you in the future
I stopped in a parking lot to have lunch and was suddenly surrounded by this group of (future) adventure bikers. They really made my day. I love kids! Thanks for your help with the pics guys. Stop by the restaurant sometime and lunch is on me.
That's why I stopped using Flickr, they changed the rules a couple of years ago and now it's just too much trouble to embed pictures on other sites. I don't use them anymore. Sent from my amazing Galaxy SII
For posting photos on forums like ADVRider, I use photobucket.com It's free, and it works well enough for what it is. I usually upload low resolution photos at 800 x 600 pixels because I only use photobucket for linking to the files. For having online storage of my digital photos that I want to keep, then it's worth paying for a more professional service like SmugMug.
Photobucket for posting pictures on forums, smugmug for my professional site and Google+/Picasa for all personal and public albums :) Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
smugmug for all of the above. any pic you post to smugmug is available in a wide range of sizes for embedding, if you don't block embedding in the albums privacy options. etc etc.
Been trying to add pics for a couple of weeks to no avail, but your recent posts have helped. Now just listed on Photobucket and got this to work. Now just need to work out how to do the sizing. At least its a positive start. Thanks you guys. My original post can be found on 'Day trippin' under the same title as above, gives a bit of background. I will now experiment with the rest of my pics
