I didn't take pictures while it was down, but here a couple of the damages which included a fractured finger (no pics of the x-ray)
This is what happens when you follow to close and the rider in front of you stalls exiting a corner. I slid right into him.
I kind of abused the F800 in Chile. I didn't have a dirt bike so I took my F800 everywhere (some places I shouldn't have)
Did a little Ground Loop today. Soft sand took me out making a tight right. You can see where the back was spinning out and the front had tracked to the inside. Only casulty was a blinker knocked off.
Love this pic! I was there two weekends ago, right after taking the BMW enduro course. I dropped my GSA soooo many times at the course, but drove right by your "napping" area.
Hard corners and FULL throttle dont always mix well. But when they do it sure is fun! Anyone notice that about 90% of these bikes are BMW GS's? ha I only saw 1 trials bike
My pal Daniel, from Brazil, in a drop I caused by stopping around a blind corner on the RawHyde Base Camp Alpha trip Same trip, same day: Dave's bike finds a nasty rut. This off broke one of the fuel injector connectors turning it into a 600GS Even the pro's have their moments. This is RawHyde instructor, Kevin, with a bike dropped after demonstrating his amazing gas station figure-8 skills And this is mine: dropped while trying to negotiate the Michigan public single-track near Cadillac, MI. I'm even more embarassed as I dropped it in a very easy section. I had to wait 30 minutes for my son (riding ahead on a Honda CFR230) to circle back and get the old man. I could not lift it myself from this position. Two drops in the sand. RawHyde training taught me how to ride these big pigs in the sand. Unfortunately, these drops were PRE training. Check out my deployed airbag jacket on the last one!!
