I don't have a photo, since photography was a rich person's luxury back then, but forty years ago we had a cocker spaniel named Wishbone (after the cook in "Rawhide", because he looked like him) who loved to ride in the sidecar. My family and neighbours always joked that his ears could be calibrated and used as a speedo. In first gear, his ears were flat by his head. As the speed picked up, so his ears would stand further out from his head like a pair of wings. At full speed his ears stood out more or less horizontally. Seeing all these photos makes me wish I still had a sidecar dog, but we are not permitted to own dogs or cats in the complex in which we live.
Loaded up Hector The Wonder Dog and went out into the fresh 3cm of snow that had fallen overnight, searching for a spot to take a pic. Found a good location at the start of Blue Mountain Road... As I was setting up the camera for the self-portrait, I could hear barking coming from up the road. Shortly afterwards, this little fella showed up to see what we were doing... Hector found himself a new buddy... They romped about in the snow for awhile, then it was time to load Hector back into the hack and head for home. The little guy just could not understand why we were leaving, though

Hector could use a canine riding buddy. He's getting tired of having to leave his buddies behind all the time.
BTW Spicy, we've a dog-friendly house, so feel free to bring Sadie - I'm sure she and our Ella will have a great time tearing up the backyard
a sidehacked SP! i was thinking of switching to that seat tail rack combo, is it comfortable? how many miles have you racked up on it in a sitting? btw, glad they finally gave you all your own group. long deserved.
