no, not really. no car tires for me. I don't even have a 'do rag!

I am hoping to get some pretty decent mileage out of the tires on my mild mannered cruiser, though. I remember it seems like you were just putting tires on the FJR the other day... 3000 miles from a tire and I would be sick!

Exactly what I hoped they would do: cruise control, adjustable ignition mapping, traction control and an updated fairing.
No 1800cc turbocharged V10 or anything like that. They kept the Good Stuff and tweaked it.
In the meantime, I'm "stuck" with my '12 FJR1300.
Oh, darn.

The '13 EU AS doesn't have the cruise control, etc., but it does have switch on the fly electronically adjustable suspension.

Even though my '09 is new, I'd buy a new AE if it has the US farkles and that suspension. Yamaha: bring 500 in... they'll sell!

The Canadians are invading and we've got a fella from New York on his way.

Sooze and I are gonna head up as soon as we get outta work and are planning on an oh-dark-thirty arrival.

There are threads on FJRforum and FJRiders about it.

If you're not on either of those forums and are interested in attending, PM me and I'll send you the address.

At past Tech Days (there have been 4 previous ones), we have tackled tasks such as cam chain tensioner swaps, valve checks and adjustments, fork service, Audiovox CC100 installation, and rear shock swaps, among others. This time around I'm gonna work to clean up the messy-ass wiring on my bike.

OK. I own an ST1300 that my wife really likes for 2-up. I like it too...except for July and August. it's not really super hot... but I feel some heat. ( I feel so dirty for admitting that. Don't tell any other ST owners...)

I have been offered a very clean 2010 FJR1300 w/ 10,530 mis. for $8,000. That sounds like a good price. I test rode it...1-up and 2. To make wife happy I need at least a Russell Day Long (ST has Rick Meyer). To make me happy ... it was fine...stock.

I got a super deal on my then new 2006 ST. If I add this FJR I still have less invested than in a Gold Wing. Am I crazy to consider owning two (2) such similar motorcycles...:huh (My riding buddy's wife is saying "There is really something wrong with you..." :eek1 )

I have a smaller Cee Bailey fer the summer, (Keeps ya cooler) 'n a larger Cee Bailey fer da winter. (Keeps ya warmer)
'Nuther feller I know switched from the ST1300 to the FJR, and likes it mor. (Butt he only rides solo) May wife/sister likes ride'in pillion on the FJR. See'n as I'm a cheap bastard, I dun got her an Airhawk seat pad, 'n save me sum moneis over a Russel.
