Louie Lake was the hardest big bike trail I saw before Boulder Basin. Peachy for sure. Seems the best destinations take a toll.

I recall reding that report awhile back....it was nice to read through it once more....

Thane got a Tiger 800XC to replace his totaled 690.

I hadn't heard Thane's 690 was totaled. I knew he was having issues wih it.

Yeah he told me it fell off a trailer and got totaled.

After your trip last year 2up I was in awe as I have been since starting to see your pics and videos for the past few years.

I hiked to Boulder City about 15 years ago with my daughter and wife on a whim, you know a bicycle water bottle and camera and lets go. I remember the start, the scree field climb and a big ditch just before the meadow. We only went to the first remains of the city. The best part was making it back to the car.

If you can imagine it that scree slope you did the next morning is where my Jeep ran out of gas all those years ago.

I see why it's called Boulder Basin. The boulder to dirt ratio is a little high in favor of the boulders. Looks like a nice place to camp.

Looks like fun.

I was able to watch about half the video before I became frustrated with my IE10. For some reason, it keeps crashing while watching videos. I love the unwanted upgrade that was pushed on me.

well, that settles it... I'm not going in there with anything bigger than my Tw 200... at least I can LIFT that over the boulders!
