The only lodging available at Crystal Crane for the 29th is a 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch house for $200 a night. :cry

Elbow & shoulder. No, the damage done there is essentially permanent (well, it can't heal without surgery, which he's not going to do), so his dirt days are all but over. In fact, we're getting his Z spruced-up and ready to sell on Craigslist (never been down, never been to Mexico).

I think we're going to do a couple of low-key Strom rides this summer, but nothing like "the good 'ol days" where we'd pound two track for days at at time. :cry

Agreed. Get as many miles as you can, while you can. Granted, he beat the hell out of himself for years before he started riding (skydiving, scuba, etc)... so he can't blame it ALL on going over the Z's handle bars! :rofl

I'm looking to upgrade from my '05 KLR and after doing some reading, I think the KTM 640 would fill the bill for something more dirt-worthy and powerful that fits my budget. I'm leaning toward the E versus the Adventure, but the truth is, I've never even looked at either one up close! I'm wondering if anyone nearby would be up for showing me theirs and sharing their experiences with the bike.

Note: I'm not looking for any free test rides here, just a look and a visit.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen that listing, and it looks really sharp, but it's a little outside my price range. In fact I've been searching Craigslist in surrounding areas (far and wide, actually) for low-mileage E models. They are hard to find. I'm just hoping to have a look at one before I make a long drive for a possible purchase.

Mid 60's for this weekends ride. That's going to be kind of hard to take. :D

It was 16 at my place this morning. :eek1 :vardy

I am packed and ready to go!
Bring something for lunch on Saturday because we will be in the middle of nowhere about lunch time. :clap
