    I am surprised that no one commented on this Vincent/S500L outfit, built half a century ago by Malcolm Atrill and the same today save for the disc brakes. It was never a collectors' piece, has thousands of racetrack miles on it, been to Europe many times, and has been ridden hard in all weather. Every part of this machine deserves study, especially the handmade alloy and stainless bits made by Malcolm. This machine was, many years ago, the inspiration for my 650 Bonne/Steib S350. Gold Star silencer, 16 inch Dunlop alloy rims and racing tires, Smiths conical racing tacho...

    Yep, and my wife has buckets of shells to prove it. We lived there for 13 years and still have a cottage on East Gulf Drive.
