Leave the ferry and some kilometers to Geiranger. Stop at "Örnsvingen", just
before downhill to Geiranger. Örnsvingen is a nice place for great views.
You see the other side of rise up from Geiranger, you can se Geiranger and
    of course....the great Geirangerfjorden.

    Geiranger to Lom

Wake up early, it´s raining. Wait and wait and wait. Waiting to rain it stops, but instead
it escalates. Give up and pack all stuff and tent in a wet heap. Everything is wet!:eek1

Now the south rise from Geiranger. It´s a long uphill to do for Z and me and Z does very
well. Do some stops after the road and check out where I´m coming from.

Stop at the viewplateu and check out Geiranger down there
    [IMG]

I see the camping near the water
    [IMG]

    The second plateu
    [IMG]

Last check before the fog takes over the view
    [IMG]

    Little bit up
    [IMG]

Entrance to Dalsnibba 1500 metres. Costs 80NOK. I really don´t know what I´m doing
there. It´s amazing scenery from there, but today is raining, foggy and the road up is
    muddy and slippery:huh
    [IMG]

    Foggy at the top

    Shorty one

Dalsnibba was to much, I´m wet and freezing. Straight ahead to Lom. It´s early
afternoon and I hire a cottage.
Instead of riding today I start to drink beer.
Warming up my frozen soal, drink beer and dry up everything, includind the tent.

    Nice cottage
    [IMG]

Lom roundabout. Weekend and sunny weather here are lot of tourists and others passing.

Felt sorry for Z. If I had room in the cottage.....?
Well, nice afternoon and evening. Just take it easy, take walks and drink beer. Even the
rain stoped. I get in the bed early
    [IMG]

From Lom is my turn back home next day, but..........??

    Lom to Odda

Today was my turn back home. Instead I go to opposite direction. It happens often
    to me )
Day starts with little bit rain and fog. At the roundabout I ride round two-three times
    around.....wich direction???? ....and turn southwest.

Jotunheim coming. Have ride this roads on motorcycle many times and on, not going
on so fast thing, I´m surprised all that small things I´ve missed before.

    Beginning of Jotunheim
    [IMG]

I decide to do a shortcut(not in time) over the road Turtagrö. Just before downhill and
turning from Turtagrö, there are great scenerys. I know I can see the road climbing up after
Turtagröroad, but......todays fog don´t let me see nothing.

    Turned on the Turtagrö.

    Going uphill. Foggy
    [IMG]

Same place one minute later. The fog moves fast.

    Almost at the top
    [IMG]

Down now....or doesn´t it looks there are more climbing? It´s five years since I was here
    [IMG]

Technology has become also to Turtagrö. Just pull your Visacard. Last time I rode here
you have to put money in an envelope
    [IMG]

Down now. Out of gas. Weather is chanching now, warm and sunny is coming. Need that,
unfortenly the fog destroyed Jotunhem and Turtagrö (
    [IMG]

Lot of small cosy meanders downhill.

    Stop and think..........

.........going now for the Laerdalstunnel. I know that I have abaout 70 kms tunnel to
do,(.....*hosth*) longest is the Laerdalstunnel, 24,5 kms.
Little bit worried to how the cars will take my slow ride through the tunnels.
Am I in way of theme??

.....to be continue....tunnels wich takes me to Hardangervidda and Odda

    Nice windburn )

    ......continue

    The tunnels, my worries

First long one, Laerdaltunnel 24,5 kms.
Wide and straight, this one gives me no problems
    [IMG]

There are three parkingplaces in the tunnel. Blue lights in theme, from distance before
    they look like ranbows.

Shorty one, you don´t even manage to turn it off before it ends :D

Tunnel ends. Took me almost 45 minutes to get through it. Laerdaltunnel is fairly new
with good ventilation and didn´t feel much from exhaustfumes
    [IMG]

Heavy stuff! Strange when very big passangerboats turns up middle of nowhere in
    the fjords?!?

Passing thrue many small tunnels. I learn to look behind, stop....and wait
until there are no cars comming. Sometimes I´m in way anyway, but the
cars are very kind and patient.
Instead I feel from the smog. Tunnel uphill where a big diesellorry has
    drive........:huh
One long tunnel more, Gudvannstunnel, this one 11,4 kms
    [IMG]

Middle of nowhere again, in a small village, a BIG vikingfestival, checked out
    it a while
    [IMG]

    Keep on forward to Odda
    [IMG]

    ....after small nice roads
    [IMG]

I´m riding a moped, so we both can drive at same time
    [IMG]

Ferry from Bruravik, it takes me to area of Hardangervidda

Thats an awsome ride! That is a long way at a top speed of 42 Kph! That scoot must have some restrictions, as 60-65 kph would be average for a regular Honda 50 cc scoot. But you get to see a lot more cruising at that speed rather than flying down the road at 105 kph. Those are great pictures, and it looks like an amazing ride! I would love to ride that ride! :thumbup

    btcn thank you!
Yes, swedish restriction for scoots are 52 kms/h. But you are allowed to ride only 45.

Thes swedish Zoomer(Ruckus) have restriction at 45 on speedo. GPS shows the speed 42.

Zoomer is a strong maskin, 4 hp. They say that Z do 45, matyer if it´s up....or down. That´s not true!)

Wake up to heavy rain. Rain stops after few minutes and instead very windy. It´s a
little bit cold in the tent, but when I put my head out from the tentopening....I meet
a warm wind on my face.
The warm wind on face feels like, when get aboard on a plain in a cold country, and
then 10 hours later take the first step out of plain at some 30 degrees warmer country.

    Well, strange warm wind?!?
.....on Z and few kilometers ride the ordinary weather is back, rain!

Hitting Hardangervidda. Heavy head wind. It´s so heavy so Z keeps sped between 20 and
40 kms/h. To get little bit more speed I have to turn on small roads. The forets on small
roads gives Z protection from the wind and speeds up.

    Coffebrake, and.....

Short ride to Tau and the ferry to Stavanger
    [IMG]

The ferry has just left. New will be leaving in about 15 minutes.
Takes me 30 seconds....neeeh, I´m not here for ferrys. I´ts to early for ending the
day. I turn east and ride around instead.

I´ve decide to go for a boat next morning at Lysebotnfjorden. Boat takes about 2,5 hours
    and starts from Lauvik.
Boat will go under this bridge. Nice bridge, ends in a tunnel.

Ferry again! It starts to cost this ferrys (
    [IMG]

Z and I stroll around in Stavanger. Hide a while for a short heavy rain and then end up
    at Stavanger camping.

Exactly! Just something like that I will fix if I stoped riding bikes.

    Question:

In Sweden we call the meanders for serpentiner.

Feels that serpentin is an english word? Or is it named meander or do english languade use another term for it?
