There's an old concrete velodrome in Detroit that's now used a few times a year for racing bicycles, scooters, mopeds, mini bikes and 100cc or smaller moto bikes. Don't know if it belongs here but thought somebody might enjoy this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj1lBfVKpI0
Makes me want to break out the Bobcat and remodel the back yard... if I could just afford all that concrete.
I'm thinking about trying to find a cheap scooter or moped to race there. It looks like a blast, and 2-wheeled racing doesn't get much cheaper!
I am going to go to a race whenever one is scheduled. It would be fun to get something to race there but I don't need another project in the garage right now. If anyone else is interested its www.thunderdrome.com
Looks like a blast. We used to watch the fixies race on the Atlanta velodrome. It was great entertainment for the whole family. It is hard to imagine that track racing was the #1 sport in the US in the early 1900's. Thanks for the video.
