I've been running a model 60 on the street and dirt, the light output is simply amazing. No issues with oncoming traffic.

Order placed and looking forward to having it installed on my TE 610. The stock 35 watt bulb is a joke on the Husky!

    John,

Could you verify what is included in the square KTM kit.

Web site reads -- add a controller, and it seems to allude the light is included. (EDIT - Mistake on my part, light is not included but $50 with no controller )
Thread shows Husky kit $50 with included controller.

    Thanks,

    Bokrijder

Yes, the controller is included, I will get that updated.

Can you post up a pic of your headlight connector, want to make sure we get it right. What bike are you considering using this on? Need to verify DC power to the headlight.

    Thanks

    John

My 2006 KTM 450EXC headlight unit simply uses three individual push-on female connecters which push directly onto the headlight bulb spade tabs. My bike has a homemade harness but I think the individual push ons are standard. The bike lighting system has been converted to DC using a Trail Tech stator and regulator.
I believe most all KTM's were delivered with an AC lighting system, thus will require conversion to DC. One can go the Trail Tech route, or for less money rewire the stock stator (easily done) and purchase a small regulator.

is there a reason why the phillips screws are not symmetrical? i hate to be AR, but i am.

i'm not understanding the pricing structure for the ktm drop in. if i order a drop in unit with the 60, it's $160 total for everything (including the controller?)

    Tia,

I think Sahjo missed your actual question - is the controller included with the KTM kit ? Yes, it is. Sanjo confirmed with me that the web text stating "no" is a mistake. Don't forget your ADV discount

Would it be possble to provide night pics comparing stock to the model 60? And will your kit fit an 06 Husky TE 610? The mast looks similar. Thanks

Need to work on some night shots. One model 60 is amazing. Here's a vid from an inmate, this is a single model 60 on a Yamaha, the light is angled down a bit. Night riding starts about 4:09 in.

From looking at online parts fiche I think it will fit your 06 TE610, not positive though. If it doesn't fit I will refund your money.

Good vid., that guy should inter Erzberg. At about 8:25 on the video, looks like he has another light on his handle bars, is that the LED light? And also a helmet light. Would be great to see the LED as a stand alone.

I have an 07 Husky 610 (carb version) and I put it on last weekend and it fits just fine. HUGE difference in light output from stock. One thing to keep in mind, if you don't have the matching white connector for the wiring harness on your bike, you can just slide the three black spade type female connectors from the bike inside the white connector on the wiring harness. The color of the wire insulation on the bike matches the connections on the wiring harness. I used some 'Tommy Tape' to seal up the wires around the white connector to keep in weatherproof.
