When you are towing the camper with your extended E350 how is the ride? Mine is pretty bad, especially the back and forth hobby horse effect on bumpy roads.
Rides like a big truck full of motorcycles pulling a camper. I have air lift air bags in the rear, so it changes alot depending on how much air is in them. Coming back from Utah a few weeks ago, I didn't inflate them enough, and the ride was really plush, but it was nose-high.
I can only compare mine to the 4x4 2500 Suburban I was using before. The Suburban rode MUCH better while towing the toy hauler so I'm wondering if it's just my van and it needs something or if it's endemic to the species.
I've towed with both a GM and Ford and I think the Ford felt last planted because of the wheelbase. The Chevy was about 15" longer than the Ford & I remember when I was shopping for vans one of the sellers suggested I look at all of the extended passenger van accidents in the news and see how Ford had more because of that shorter wheelbase and load distribution.
