I will mount and balance your tires for $25 each. Drop them off and pick them up later the same day. I won't scratch your wheels! I'm also willing to do your light maintenance and fabrication. Ron, 509-969-4999

:thumb Props to Performance Coatings in Auburn!

Got the headers on my GS coated at the beginning of last season--decided to go with satin black. After one season, that black had taken quite a beating. Pebble blasted from the front wheel and road dirt getting burned into the pores of the ceramic coating. Decided to get them done again, but this time in Chromex hoping maybe that finish might be a little tougher since it's a different process than the satin.

Went there yesterday to pick them up, beautiful job, but was very surprised when they said "No charge!" They said that since last year's coating had not performed to my satisfaction, and since they only want happy customers, they were calling this a "recoat under warranty." Wow! :eek1

Looking for a BMW bike mechanic to do some work on my 99r11gs. Prefer not to take it to a shop and have one of the dealer guys flat rate the bike just to move on to the next one. Prefer somebody that will take a little extra time and attention to detail. I've got a few things that need to be repaired on the bike from brake line replacement to level 2 service and possibly more. Please PM me if you are intersted in the job or have a reference to somebody that would be interested in taking on a project of getting this thing back up to snuff. Bike is located in the Redmond Wa area.

Call Russ 503 661 2256. He works ot of his garage and is a BMW expert.

    Where is Gary's location?

    Thanks

Russ is near Gresham. I do some work on "R" bikes but I'm busy setting up a new shop in The Dalles at this time.

Sorry to all of you that have been wanting work done. I have been offered a real job doing some really cool stuff. Thanks for the support and the work.

    Hello all,

I am not a motorcycle dealer anymore, but as some of you know, I used to be Bend Euro Moto in Bend Oregon.
I moved up to Chelan WA and have been doing various aviation related projects.
I am doing a limited amount of motorcycle repair and service from my well equiped hangar/shop at the Chelan airport.

Things I have and can do include:

Full diagnostics for any Ducati bike.
    6 gas analyzer for diagnostics
Ohlins suspension service, factory trained, all factory Ohlins tools.
Most other euro suspension such as WP and Marzocchi, as well as Showa and Kayaba stuff that is used on euro bikes.
Master Ducati tech, even have a thing hanging on the wall that says I am : )
    Lots of BMW experience.
I have stuff like valve shims, seals, fluids, parts (although the supply is shrinking vis my Ebay store)
Full valve guide and valve seat cutting service for most motorcycle heads. I can do some porting work too, but is rarely needed or helps ADV bikes.

I know most ADV riders like a hands on approach to bike care, and I can work with that and help out with the stuff you can't do. I am also willing in instruct competant riders in proper maintenance and repair.

I charge $50.00 per hour, I will give a reasonably close estimate before work begins. I am more than willing to install the parts you bring with you, in fact I prefer to. I am also open to trades. Need the bike serviced before a big ride? No money?
    Offer something up.

For large jobs (such as a big bore kit, valve job, and suspension rebuild on your Ducati track bike) I am willing to transport from the Wet Side in my enclosed trailer.

    Hello all,

check out my Hangar One-Four Facebook page.

I can fix your Ducati, BMW, KTM, or just about any euro bike exotica you can throw at me. I'm in Chelan, and all proceeds go to furthering my moto habit.

Some stuff I do includes 3 angle valve jobs using Serdi and Nuway cutters, rebuilding sorry engines into fire breathing monsters, dialing in fuel injection systems on Ducati's, and some BMW's, anything electrical or electronic, and making your Ohlins suspension like new again.

Oh, and I also fix and build airplanes, especially helpful with experimental stuff, licensed A&P and all that. Conveniently located on an airport 2 miles out of Chelan and pretty much right on the Washington Back Country Discovery Route. If KTM or BMW's could fly, I would be a rich man.

So I read the first page and not entirely sure if I can post this here but I didn't quite get a yes or no from the post. Its not exactly parts related or anything but relates to riding and adventuring =]

If you folks doing the WABDR make your way through central Washington /Chelan, my friends have just relocated their restaurant in downtown. Valerie's Waterfront Bistro opened its doors this past Friday. (Www.valerieswaterfrontbistro.com )

If you're familiar with the area, they were formerly Troy's Pizza, and recently Valerie's Pizza. Same food, new owner, new location downtown Chelan with a back deck overlooking the water. The menu has some additions with the new location; hand crafted beef burgers, chicken burgers, sandwiches, and even a vegetarian option.

I moved here this summer to help my friend during the move and I'll be in the kitchen and working the door all summer. Check it out and if you're in the area stop by for some grub!! Cheers

Surprised (but happy) to find out that Alex Guth has opened up a new shop for BMW's. If you don't know him already, Alex used to be the Service Manager at South Sound BMW. Really good guy and knows a shitload about GS's. He's one of those "been there, done that" kind of guys when it comes to GS's.

No affiliation, but wanted to give him a shout out. I only found out about this because I ran into him at a restaurant here and he told me the news. His website is alyxmoto.com.

The shop is located about 15 minutes from the Maple Valley exit on Rt. 18. Kinda out in the boonies, but if yer bike's outside the warranty period, who wants to pay dealer prices?

So, I've been in business for 7 years now and have never needed to advertise. But ever since all of the local doctors' and lawyers' retirement investments dried up, they have been a little hesitant to have a new custom bedroom suite built for junior.

Things have been a bit slow around here, and now my wife is bugging me to get a "real" job and finally give up on this dream. :nah

I build custom furniture and cabinets from mild to wild, from trinkets to full-blown kitchens, but I have also built molds for fiberglass factories, prototypes for design firms, the sky is the limit. Do you have a design in your head for a pair of end tables? Do you need a desk, but you only have an odd space to put it where no store-bought desk would fit? How about a Murphy bed? Everyone could use a Murphy bed! Contact me, and we'll see what we can come up with. I'm hungry, so you might just get a great deal!

Visit my website HERE, PM me or email me directly at fcwoodworking@gmail.com. I might be willing to travel far for the right job; it won't hurt to ask!

Posting this for my dad, who isn't on ADV. We shouldn't hold that against him, though, as he helps me wrench on my KLR, and he is an awesome Goldwing Mechanic. He's is now running his own shop in the Bremerton / Port Orchard area, but it's on his property and he doesn't want folks dropping in unannounced.

So if you (or someone you know) has a Goldwing, and needs an honest, affordable mechanic, shoot me a PM, and I'll put you in touch. He's got the tools and the know-how from complete rebuilds to tires.

All the $30 blems are sold. So I will give you FF'ers a regular one for $49.

I sell these tools to physical therapist, chiropractors, athletic trainers and anybody with the $$$$. If you have ever gotten Graston treatment for your new/old soft tissue injuries you know it works....and can be a bit painfull and $$$$. So this deal is only for ADV FF's. I have a few blems (blemished tools). They work fine but have some defect that makes them look not so good. They work just fine, but have some machining marks that would cause my regular (Non FF) customers to want to return them or talk bad about me. So the deal is you PM me and I will send you a Paypal invoice for $30. I will then ship you one of these blemished tools.

You can see how they are used:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm6jIEDbwfs

This is great for treating sprain/strain type injuries. Old injuries that never quite heal right and keep coming back. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Are you interested in a set of in ear monitors that are soft gel and move with your jaw and your ear so there is next to no fatigue for seriously extended periods of use unlike the hard monitors most use? Soft gel molds also mean total seal of your ear. Our monitors include kevlar cables that mount in the mold (removable) which means they dont get pulled out on accident. These are incredible sounding "ears" used by such artists as Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath with the benefit of a working mans price range. Single, Dual and triple driver models are available including our ambient models that are equipped with a small high end microphone in each mold allowing you to blend as much of the outside world in as you would like..

With soft gel molds it also means a flusher fit in your ear making use with helmets a lot easier than the bulky hard shell plastic monitors.

How about custom molded plugs that have up to a 27db (start at 9db cut) cut with no frequency loss? This means hear all as it should be just a lot quieter.

With a normal turn around time of less than a week (after receiving molds) we can have you riding with the most comfortable and some of the best protection and sounding in ears on the market today.Be sure to mention your an inmate for 10% to 20% off making these even more desirable. Group buys get even more discounts !!!

Retail prices for in ear monitors (Single Driver) start at $479.00 and up
Retail prices for Plugs start at $185.00 and up

I've thought about posting something here for quite some time, but haven't because I thought it might not be received well for some reason. Tonight I thought, well you can't please everyone, and I know the reality is there are a lot of folks out there who don't have someone they can trust to give them the right information about Life Insurance, Retirement Savings or Saving for Kids Education. I've been doing these things for over 20 years now and frankly, I'm good at it. You probably wouldn't want to talk to me if I told you I wasn't would you? For me the reason I decided to post this is if I were to talk to someone from the forum I get to talk about both my passions in one discussion.....helping people with their important decisions....and motorcycles! BTW...I just hit the 40 yr mark with the bikes...:D , and I was able to do all three of the BDR's this last fall!

I don't personally help with the cars, homes, and toys any more but I can refer you to those who do, and, I can tell you the questions to ask when you meet them. Recently I started working in a new part of the industry for me, Voluntary Benefits. So if you own your own business and want to give your employees or yourself, some options for policies that pay them directly for things like Accidents, Critical Illnesses, Cancer or even Life Insurance I can help, and I explain it all in layman's terms. Or, if you work for someone and wish the boss would make some of these things available to the crew, let me know and I'll contact them and offer to help. I'm licensed in both Washington and Oregon and I help people for a living. Not a bad gig ! Have a question? :ear Call my cell at 206-850-6617 and tell me you read it in ADV Rider!

    Thanks, Randy
