Seeing that red marlboros run at about 20 Oz dollars a pack while in Albania less then 1 euro and 50 cents, I'm considering to start an alternative business :D

Ill fill up the metal box with 100 orso cartons and will buy you a bike myelf!!

    See you att he Safari?

If you think of joining this line of work your bike will need an alternative rider @

I was a bit bored this afternoon and started to put all Rallies and dates I know of in a Google Callendar.
Apparently the place to be on October the 12th to 14th is Morocco.
Three Rallies pass thru the country

hier the google calendar, you need a googly account though

Frightening - it's 50 centigrade and more out there at this time of the year, what was he doing out there on his own?

At the press conference HRC talked about the Oil Libiya and Mergouza - they are back to back, so a mini Dakar if it happens - throw in Egypt for half the team and it's a busy few weeks :clap:clap

I was there for the Rally Morocco last October and it was a good time. Hoping to get back this October and follow more closely on a bike.

Stefan, You forgot about 'Desafio Inca' in Peru Oct 3-6, 2013! I will be leading a moto tour to go spectate. Don't miss it, many of the Dakar greats will be there fine tuning for Dakar 2014 (and access to them is better than at the actual Dakar!). :clap:clap

This may be of no help to you Aussie folks but there's a pretty Rally ready bike for sale here.

I don't see why it would be "no help". I know of two people in Oz that bought their Rally bikes from overseas and imported them. Lyndon's one would have to be a good one to get so if someone in Oz wants it, go for it!:deal

No joke! The desert is truly a hostile enviroment........ any time of year.
I will pray that his family can find a way to come to grips with their loss.

Thanks for asking Dread. It was quite a bad break unfortunately, requiring a bone graft to replace the top of my crushed tibia. Have been doing physio every day for 3 months straight. While I'm still on one crutch, I can limp around without one now for a bit. More importantly I'm riding, albeit not very far or for very long

Next steps are to build my muscle up so I can have this lot removed in a second op, hopefully before the end of the year. [IMG] [IMG]

Neil, I had an expert look at your x-ray. His special equipment brought a serious problem into view. That upper bone has a terrible disease forming just above the joint. You can see it in the shadows. It's pretty expensive to have that treated. Do you think you can be cured?
