Thanks for the info and the links- When I snapped the shot I did not know the history on the boat. Hopefully you'll make it up one of these days for a ride!

Will definitely continue to add pics. We didn't do much riding this weekend- just a 2 up trip to Bangor on the Wee Strom to Bangor for errands on Saturday- I actually did snap some pics from the back of the bike because I was playing with the camera, but shoein didn't think anybody would be interested in them since it was just our boring old paved route to Bangor.

Rangely is a beautiful area- should be over that way sometime this summer to get some pics!

2+2= now I know who you are. Hopefully bump into you guys on some of my travels this summer. I'll be at Beech Hill in 3 weekends but it's going to me more working than riding.

Very nice, beautiful pics of your part of the country. We are already hitting 90 in Austin and you all are just coming out of the snow! I guess when it melts, you get the mud? Thanks for posting up!

joined up with a few ADVers this morning for a nice ride over in the Solon/Bingham area- actually everybody else is still riding, but I have been a bit under the weather, so I cut out a early due to fatigue.... had a great time exploring some dirt roads shoein and I had not been before- more riding than pics....

    meeting up in Carmel:

Dave....who I do not think is on ADV..... yet.... but has a very pretty red KLR and appeared to be having a good time:

Met RapidTransit and his GS800 in Athens

Kind of a chilly morning (~45F) and the controller for my heated jacket is on the blink again (they are sending me replacements, just haven't gotten the new one yet) and forgot I that the gloves have their own controller, so my hands got a bit chilly- BKMLWR let me borrow these which definitely helped:

Then over to the Lobster Camp in Solon to meet up with Lobster Grrl & Chromer:

Then a bit of dirt- here is where we got to less pics, more riding:

stopped for breakfast- great opportunity for a shot of the whole lineup, but the restaurant was closed- so ended up at Irving for breakfast:

Rode a bit more with everybody on the dirt and then headed home. Last I heard from shoein they were in Parkman heading for Blanchard on some nice challenging trails.... I definitely made the right decision to break off for home as I am pooped- had a great time riding though- hadn't been on my bike for well over a week and I have definitely been missing it!

ok, here's a few pics from our "boring" ride, also went to a conference for work in Bar Harbor last weekend, and did a hike around Jordan pond, so a few from there as well. Wish the sun had been out for better pics, but we have not seen the son in 2 weeks (I think our boring day was the last time we saw it)

I'm going to break this part into sections as I took a lot of pics and it will take a while to get them all uploaded.
First of all Shoein went with dtrembley & howling 60 memorial day weekend- I was away and couldn't go- so I sent the camera with him and what I got back was dozens of pictures of this (howling's bike seems to have a bit of an oil leak I guess):

and then there were a (very) few blurred shots of what might have been the trail- how he managed this with a point and shoot that always takes extremely clear pics I'll never know. So needless to say, on Tuesday I dragged him back there for another ride, so I could get some pics. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was gorgeous. We had a fantastic ride. What a great way to see Downeast Maine! We did 260 miles for the day, 85 of it on the trail. From the end of the trail, we picked up the Airline (Rt 9) to fly on back home.

Start of the trail in Ellsworth:
